Excellent communication before arrival. We were greeted on arrival by Sergio and shown around this gem of a place that we used as a stopover on the way to Barcelona. The accommodation is rustic and authentic and has been our favourite place to stay after 4 weeks travelling around France and Spain. The evening meal was outstanding, as was the wine. Breakfast was a continental style but was done very well and was very tasty. I am sitting here in a soulless chain hotel wishing I was back here.
This place is excellent as a stopover along the A3 highway. The hotel has a restaurant where you can have a daily menu for a very reasonable price. Also the breakfast is good. There is a gas station right next to it. Behind the hotel is a private parking lot where you can safely leave your car for the night. For those who have time, it is possible to walk to the old center of Utiel (700 meters). That's well worth it. Around the center you will find some supermarkets etc.
Rustic hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. When we arrived we were offered lunch which was very good with 5 courses and as much wine as we wanted included in the reanable price. We were given a personal tour of the wine cellars by the host. Able to purchase good quality wine produced by the winery.
Fantastic little hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Dinner outside on the terrace with the sun setting and moon rising was lovely, and the wine was excellent. And a morning swim in the old water deposit was perfect (not officially a swimming pool)
Rural, we’ll appointed recently remodeled interior spaces with an eye to keeping the old hacienda style. That it is a winery, has a unique history in the DO Utiel Raquena and serves very tasty dinners and fantastic wines is the draw.
