Great town. Not too big, not too small, just right. It still has the culture due to the old town and fort, unlike some of the other coastal towns which are more party towns. However I wouldn't want to be there in the summer, i would imagine it would be very crowded. Late September was good. Highly recommend a visit to Tossa. I could easily live here!

It has hardly changed since I first went in the 70s.
It has hardly changed since I first went in the 70s. It has an interesting historical past, which is worth researching. Sometimes I stay in the lovely city of Girona and take the bus to Tossa after a couple of days which makes a good trip. Local transport in Spain is plentiful and easy.

The hotel reception was very nice, however, the room was dated and warn. The sea view over looked a back alley. Parking is an issue. You either pay for parking or park in the “free” area which was a bit of a walk and wasn’t free once we were towed and fined for parking in a free area that was blocked the next morning for a car show. Unfortunately we didn’t notice the signs posted stating that vehicles needed to be moved by 7:00 AM.
We loved the town and would have liked to have stayed more than one night.

First visited Tossa in 1984 as a lad and probably didn’t appreciate what it has to offer.
The beauty of Tossa is it never changes. The Vila Vella is a beautiful walled village and dominates the sea front and there are a vast array of quality restaurants on offer as well as some very nice shops, very few ‘cheap souvenir shops’.
Not the sort of resort that attracts the partying types who are far better served in Lloret de Mar so never rowdy.
A well kept secret and I hope it stays that way!

Really pretty, old and atmospheric town. Plenty of life yet quiet and relaxing. Lovely mixed crowd, young and old, with different nationalities. Local are friendly and helpful. Beaches clean and not too packed. Lovely restaurants serving good local fare. Easy to move around in, all pedestrianised . Historic section just beautiful, sympathetically restored and open for all to see. Boat trip fab just up the coast, stopping at caves and coves.
Decent hotel, with great rooms with seaview. A lot of terraces in different parts of the hotel, with great views overlooking Tossa Del Mar, so you can always find a spot somewhere to enjoy a drink or a snack. Very friendly staff. The beach is nearby right in front of the hotel, but you have to walk down (the hotel is build on a kind of rock overlooking the bay) and cross a quiet street, so the hotel is not right on the beach itself. Good breakfast buffet, and they don't chase people away after 10am which we liked because we eat late.
The hotel was so clean, cute and well put together. The property was at the most ideal location right along the beach and central to all the stores and restaurants and tourist attractions. I can’t say enough good positive things about this property! They accommodated breakfast for us even earlier than the scheduled time due to our bus scheduled time! The staff were so friendly and helpful and they went above and beyond. I can’t wait to stay again in the future.
It is a wonderful small hotel not far from the sea. Beautiful interior, clean rooms, and what is the most important, very nice hosts. The breakfast is very tasty, and one can spend the evenings in the hotel's bar/restaurant enjoying tapas, paellas and drinks. The hosts can inform you about the possible activities and interesting places to visit in the area. I am already looking forward to visit this place again.
We had a really lovely week in Tossa de Mar. The accomodation is very well located, close to the beach, the bus station, restaurants and shops. We were happy with the breakfast they served, we could enjoy it in the garden which we loved, especially the avocado tree☺️. We’re very glad for the personnel, they were super helpful and nice, a lady tidid up every day a bit our room. Thank you for everything😇
location is perfect: just in the heart of Tossa de Mar and in 2 minutes from the beach. The apartment is cozy. There is a nice terrace with a view on the castle. The kitchen is fully equipped. Despite the fact that the apartment is located on a busy street with numerous bars and restaurants it is not that loud as one can expect. We had no problems with sleeping at nights.
Excellent location, just a short walk to the beach, close to restaurants and shops. Clean, updated rooms with balconies, and comfortable beds. Thomas and the rest of the staff were outstanding, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. Look forward to returning to this hotel in the future.
Really friendly staff, perfect location, convenient breakfast. It was surprisingly hard to find breakfast places open early in Tossa de Mar so thankful for the breakfast buffet the hotel offers for a low price. The front desk people greet you every time you walk in, and we got a better room than we reserved for the same price!
Everything was really good. Hotel near the beach. The food is good. The staff is very kind and helpful. A very large and spacious hotel. The main thing was to have clean, clean towels, the rest was less important. We had a very large balcony which was very great. Thank you Hotel Don Juan, thank you Tossa de Mar.
I loved the size of the room, the beds are very comfortable and super clean, good variety of breakfast, location was amazing, just in the centre of the town and staff was excellent. Everyone was very nice and made us feel very welcomed. I will definitely recommend this hotel.
Very poor conditions. Bad smell from the bathroom when entering room was horrible.The lock and key didn't worked properly, difficulty to lock/open the door. Staff were unhelpful and rude. Should be rated 1 star. Old place build in 70's, not 4 star hotel as advertised.
Hotel is quite authentic and directly on the beach with a nice old decor. The room for 3 was quite spacious, and the bathroom was modern and clean. Only a slight negative point was AC wasn't at its best, but may be because it is spring season.
Superb location. Receptionist was super helpful and friendly. The whole place was very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed exploring Tossa de Mar. We had a super walk on the coast path to the north.
The location of the hotel was wonderful, and the terrace/pool area on the roof made for an enjoyable place to sit, read, and relax. The breakfast buffet was also quite diverse and good.
