We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
This property is in the old town and close to nice restaurants.
The room was comfortable and there were not too many beds as you find in some hostels. It’s also near the Camino de Santiago starting point from Sarria.
If you’re starting the Camino there you can get you pilgrim passport from the shop/reception and they also sell the shells that many people wear on theirs bags while walking
The owner was very nice and he gave me the best tip I used for the whole "Camino", I mean the backpack taxi , a fantastic service that for just euro 4,00, takes your backpack to the following village of your way.
The hotel is right on the way so the morning after we just follow the people .
excellent location with superb on site staff. super close to restaurants and Camino trail. property is directly across the street from the police station. hotel arranged taxi service between the Santiago de Compostela airport and the hotel in Sarria and it worked like a charm.
Everything. It was right on the Camino, extraordinarily super clean, beautiful garden to hang out in, and comfortable dorm beds. Christina, the albergue owner, was very helpful in orienting us to the sites of Sarria. We were very happy with this stay! Recommend highly.
The apartment is beautiful and very well located, the beds are really comfortable and it has an amazing terrace with the best view of Sarria.
The apartment exceeded my expectations and it's a place I would definitely go back to.
The manager is very nice and friendly
This a great option if you are walking through or starting from Sarria - right on the Camino. After several nights in hostels, it was a real treat to stay in this 5* hotel. Great welcome, lovely rooms, comfy bed and fine bed linens - and a wonderful breakfast for €5!
Love this place! It was spotlessly clean, the shower wonderful, mattress and bedding comfortable and the views of Sarria and the mountains marvelous! But the best part was how warmly welcomed I was by the owner - she's a lovely person!
Hotel Serano is in top condition. It's right when you enter Sarria, so if you expect to have sore feet, you don't have to go that far. Opposite the hotel is a super good local restaurant with a menu of the day and really good tapas.
El Malecon was clean and comfortable. I loved the location on the river and the restaurants downstairs added an ambience.
It was easy to find the arrows out of Sarria from El Malecon in order to follow the Camino route.
We were given a huge room, a bed a sofa area both with televisions. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The hotel is just across the road from the train station so convenient for us the following morning.
Wonderful small apartment in Sarria! Luisa was a great communicator and responded quickly and helpfully to any questions I had. Very comfortable beds. Nice, bright apartment that is convenient to everything.
