It was both the completion of one and the start of another Camino . Beautiful old town with an amazing cathedral. Very commercialized catering with trivia shops for the pilgrims detracts somewhat from the beauty and uniqueness.

I loved Santiago de Compestela, in spite of the rain!
I loved Santiago de Compestela, in spite of the rain! It was an honour to be there after 6 walking days from Sarria (115km) The Cathedral is amazing! Lots of cafes and shops selling souvenirs. Prices all very cheap! I’ll be definitely returning!

We love the Spanish culture, especially the food.
We love the Spanish culture, especially the food. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants in Santiago, all up small cobbled streets. The architecture is stunning and we did the train trip around which for €6 was great value and great to find out a few facts as well as see more of the area. There are many parks in the area and we walked everywhere, feeling safe even late at night. We would have a drink at hotel Reis which is the largest and oldest hotel off the square, it’s a great place to take in the atmosphere and watch the sun come down.

Santiago de Compostela exceeded my expectations.
Santiago de Compostela exceeded my expectations. The architecture of the town is lovely and the Cathedral is amazing. It's quite walkable but be prepared for several hills within the city center. And there are multiple Michelin starred restaurants to enjoy at prices much lower than in Madrid or any US city. The seafood is top notch! We enjoyed Santiago as much as Seville, Madrid and Barcelona.

This is not a 5 star hotel for either accommodation or service. We were not allocated a junior suite. The room we had was shocking by any standard. Tiny, dark with shabby curtains and stained rugs. The bathroom was small and narrow. A completely separate room next door to the bedroom had a sofa and TV but so dark the lights had to be switched on all the time. Unbelievable. The hotel was full and staff were tense and rushed. We reserved a time for breakfast but still had to wait for a table. The hot food we ordered was cold when it arrived and so were the pots of coffee and hot water. However the self service buffet had a very good selection of fruits, cheeses etc.
Overall shocking standard for a 5 star hotel.

It is a beautiful city.
It is a beautiful city. The ancient buildings and streets are immaculate. They have maintained their city to a very high standard. Many of the visitor attractions are free, something not too common today. The food is very reasonable and of a very good standard. It is a place of joy….

A lovely boutique hotel very well situated within the city. Friendly , helpful , unpatronising staff who spoke good English . Loved the little touch’s of fresh flowers and the rose in our room smelt divine. Having just completed part of the Camino with my grown up children ,it was a relief to have a nice hotel to complete our stay in Spain. Very nice breakfast on Saturday morning.
Very nice private, four room small hotel. Nice, very clean room with private bath, shared kitchenette and lounge area. Maria personally received me and managed the daily cleaning etc. I found the facilities very nice, excellent value and Marie and Jose charming and helpful hosts. I was there four nights and the location was excellent for all old town Santiago attractions.
This is a reasonably modern hotel with all the must have facilities and amenities of old school hotels. For the money this is 1 of the best hotels we've been in in Spain. It suited a couple of Pilgrims just in off the trail after walking from Saint John.
Very nice hotel, better than expected. Very nice large room. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Nowhere else really close to eat. 15 to 20 minute walk to Santiago de Compostela cathedral and old town. Parking in hotel was convenient.
Moure Hotel offers everything you desire, friendly staff, good athmosphere, location in old part of Santiago, quality apartment and cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was served and from all the places we stayed, this was the best!
