Situated next to Santander’s famous Sardinero Beach, this modern hotel offers wonderful views of the Cantabrian Sea. Free Wi-Fi, a minibar and satellite TV are included in each stylish room.

Very friendly staff, some spoke Spanish and English. Gave me tips on the commute, nearby supermarkets as well as cafe's they liked going to. Room was okay. Nice wardrobe with hangers and a mini-fridge. I came here a few hours early from the usual check-in time due to the flight arrival and they had the room ready which was nice to hear. Late check-out time was a bonus and was needed on the last day. Check out was super quick too.

We were a group of nine men from the UK. Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff are truly incredible and go out of their way to make sure you have a perfect stay. They helped us so much with taxis from airport and around Santander, restaurants, and booking tennis and padel courts. Everyone had a smile on their face and so friendly. A special mention to Maripy, Isabel and Rosa (all staff are great but I remember these haha). The rooms are clean, bright and very comfortable and everything perfect. Breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff really look after you. The hotel is located in a perfect place, close to main town centre where all cafes, Pinchos and Tapas bars are. You can also walk to the harbour and front and beaches. If you stay in Santander I recommend you stay here. Wonderful place with amazing staff. I would definitely come back again

FAQs about hotels in Santander

Rolling Hills, Magnificent Gardens and Sandy Beaches

Situated on the north coast of Spain, the seaside city of Santander is the capital of Cantabria. This beautiful city has it all; from stunning beaches and green gardens to captivating museums and a bustling city centre.

Overlooking the lighthouse of the Mauro Island, the popular sandy beach of Sardinero is divided by the gardens of Piquio. These magnificent gardens feature Canarian palm trees, blue eucalyptus and colourful flower beds.

Located on the Magdalena Peninsula, the imposing Palacio de la Magdalena has a neoclassic French and English style. Wander around the green gardens and visit the small zoo; home to penguins, seals and other sea animals.

The Cathedral of Santander is a historic landmark in the city centre. Built between the 12th and 14th century, this historic monument consists of two Gothic churches. The Alameda de Oviedo Boulevard is a shopping paradise where you can find everything you need.

Enjoy a walk at the wide seaside promenade, where you will find a big selection of cafés and restaurants to choose from. Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, guest houses and apartments in the area. The international Santander Airport is the only one in Cantabria.

Really nice town. Easy to walk around Bus service good but need an agreeable driver to help, got one nice one and others disappointing. The Cathedral is wonderful, easy to miss if you visit the chapel first!! Wanted to visit the Palace but never found the right bus stop. Driver unhelpful. Thoroughly enjoyed Tapas at great value. Felt our money went a long way for lovely evenings out.

Love the Basque Country and whilst Santander was great and has some good beaches & tourist attractions, personally I prefer San Sebastián. That being said my wife and I had a lovely time there, if someone said they were going to have a few days in Santander, I’d say great, that’s about the right amount of time. It has a lovely cathedral, some lovely churches, a few museums, galleries, plenty of pinxtos bars, great food, nice beaches. What’s not to like, but I think a few days there is plenty. Furthermore, I would suggest to them to stay at the Sol Boutique Hotel - we did and if we went back to Santander, would 100% return to the same hotel.

Very beautiful city by the sea. Full of life and interesting architecture. Friendly people, loads of great places to eat. Definitely recommend taking the ferry to Somo and exploring the beach. Centro Botin is a stunning art gallery designed by Renzo Piano and had great exhibitions when we were there.

Santander is a typical spanish city with seperate beach areas away from the town. Very few english visitors mean it is not spoken by many locals. No translations in any of restaurants/tapas bars added to its uniqueness. Lovely old town area including wide range of good shops made for a good walking exercise. Cathedral and Jesus churches worth the visit and all the locals are very friendly. City is busy but very clean. Not expensive to eat/drink out. Bus services good. Taxis are cheap.

When we arrived, the staff were absolutely wonderful. Telling us exactly where we could park a vehicle .Couldn't do enough for us. before visiting you, we stopped in two big luxury hotels, one of which in barcelona . Their facilities were OK but not what I would classify 5 star or whatever stars they like to call them. Where as your facility was 5 star to me and my partner . Arrive and find slippers and bath robes provided was a nice touch and well appreciate .

We loved just about everything in Hotel Chiqui. The communication ahead of our visit, the attention to detail and facilitation of all staff from check in to check out especially Cristina and Ishmael was absolutely praiseworthy. I’m a regular visitor to Santander and to Chiqui hotel but my friends will now be regular visitors in-the future🙏 Couldn’t stay anywhere else in Santander! Well done to staff and management for ensuring we had a wonderful vacation.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. The bathroom was large and roomy with a walk-in shower. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpfully guided us on things to do and see in Santander. The hotel's location was excellent with beaches, bars and restaurants practically on the door-step. The Sandiero beaches were delightful. Thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel.
