Sweeping around a sandy bay backed by mountains, the fishing port of Roses has become one of the most popular Costa Brava resorts. This was partly due to El Bulli, one of the world’s best restaurants, which once graced a neighbouring village.
Although that restaurant serves no more, the town still has plenty of eateries and bars offering some of the area’s top nightlife. Some are by the long promenade whose palm trees are beautifully silhouetted at sunset. Around the Bay of Roses the headland becomes more rugged and the beaches more cove-like. In the opposite direction is large Roses marina, although the one in next door Empuriabrava is huge.
Watersports are very popular here and include diving and windsurfing. The Aqua Brava waterpark has a host of slides, rapids and a wave pool, and other entertainment includes karting and minigolf.
Above the southern end of town, overlooking the lighthouse, sit the star-shaped ruins of 16th-century Castell de la Trinitat. On the other side of Roses is the Ciutadella, a much larger site containing Greek and Roman remains and partly surrounded by medieval walls. Even older are the Creu d’en Corbertella megalithic structures, one of which is the largest in Catalonia.

Beautiful Spanish resort full of French Tourists as the border is so close. Fine sandy beaches which are cleaned and smoothed every morning. History buffs will be in heaven visiting Neolithic Dolmens and medieval castles and forts - don't miss the Ciutadella on the seafront, it is magnificent! Wide clean promenade with separate bike lane. Cafes and restaurants galore. Get a local bus to stunning Cadaques - E6 return. What's not to like?

The town of Roses is walkable with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The locals are very nice. They seemed to like it when we spoke some Spanish with them (but it wasn't necessary). Nice grocery stores, as well.

We stayed in Canyelles, a small town next to roses. A little bit more intimate than roses, although if you want to really go out roses is right there. A lot (to much) of roundabouts on the way to firgueras, but apart from that easy to reach.

Even though I booked late in the day and got there late, I got the best room in the house. ( The one in the photo).

The hotel is a little off the busy turistic area and that's a hugh plus in my book, but only 5 minutes walk from the beach.
The breakfast was rich, fresh, plantyfull and diversed.

Perfect location, in front of the beach! Close to restaurants and the Roses Center. Apartment clean, comfortable, It has absolutely everything to make your stay in the apartment wonderful. The hosts are very friendly, always willing to help you with everything, they even took the time to set up the TV in our language, recommend restaurants, etc. We will definitely come back!
We liked everything. Lovely clean, light room and balcony, very, very helpful staff, lovely breakfast area with a choice of sitting indoors or out in small shady garden in the morning sun. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was located on the outskirts of Roses, on the edge of a tourist area but it was a pleasant walk into Roses along the sea front promenade.
Location was great in front of the beach and close to many stores and restaurants and to go for a walk around the town. The staff very nice and smiling all the time which made us feel good and they answered all our questions. If We visit Roses again will stay here again. We got a room with a balcony and partially view to the beach and the street( was not noisy).
Staff was incredibly friendly at check-in. I was lucky enough to receive a room that faces the boardwalk so the view of the beach and sea was incredible. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk to various restaurants and is 5min walking to the the main boat, yacht, jet-ski and water sport rental and activites area.
The hotel is on a private Mediterranean cove on the Cami de Ronda trail. The artwork throughout the hotel and grounds is amazing. The staff makes you feel so special and taken care of. Food is delicious!!!!! It was hard to leave. One of the best hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at.
The apartment has spectacular views of Costa Brava, as shown on the photos. We enjoyed looking out the terrace to bask in the moonlight and early morning sun.
The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, a doable walking distance to the beach (Playa El Canyelles Petites).
The room was modern, clean, quiet and well sized. The hotel is situated in the town and really close to a fantastic market. Also walking to the shore did not take long. The bathroom was also very nice. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices and the staff was friendly.

Bad service by the Manneger who was Rudd and bully cause we didn’t have good air condition in the room when we arrived after 3 hours of driving .

Location it’s good he rooms are very small
We had an option to take a camp pitch for 2 persons with tent only and then for almost same price found this hotel. It was match better we expected it to be. And had super relax after days of hiking in Costa Brava. Thank you!
