We had an excellent stay at Secrets Lanzarote. Everything was perfect. Staff is very helpful and friendly, there are numerous activities organized by staff to keep you busy like yoga, streching, archery, rifle shooting, cocktail workshop etc.
Food at world cafe is great and pretty diverse, but it is absolutely recommended to try the a la carte restaurants for dinner. For us, the two that stood out way above the rest, were Oceana restaurant and Gohan (the sushi at Gohan is other worldly). Portofino was just ok, and in blue water grill the steak was really good, but the hamburger not so much.
Located in a quiet resort 3.1 mi west of Puerto del Carmen, Hotel Costa Calero Thalasso & Spa has 4 outdoor swimming pools and a spa with a sauna. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the beach....

Great breakfast options, very helpful staff, and convenient accommodations for young children. Our infant son loved the kids pool. Good value, close to the airport, and located somewhat centrally on the island if you have a car - it's ~30m to the southern tip (Playa Blanca) or ~45m to the northern end.

Fantastic upmarket resort with an attractive harbour and access to lots of things to do (ferry - or coastal walk - to Puerto del Carmen; submarine safari; buggy trips; jet ski trips; harbour side shops and varied restaurants and bars) in a very safe community with visible and regular security patrols. 15-20 minutes from the airport. The resort is set to go up a notch when the new Hiperdino supermarket opens, although we were a bit sad to see that Ferrer (quality fashion) and The Harbour Club (excellent dining) had closed since our last trip. However, there is still a good range of very good places to eat and drink overlooking the harbour and for shopping both Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca (particularly the new part between the old town and Rubicon) have excellent shops. Fund Grube and Mint are particular favourite for a splurge on fragrance and fashion - don't make the mistake of buying duty free before you have checked out Fund Grube and Dahlia for fragrance.

Beautiful harbour with bars & restaurants.
Beautiful harbour with bars & restaurants. There is some building work at the moment just outside the harbour which is affecting the properties around it with noise from 7.30am - 5 pm while building a commercial centre

Puerto Calero is a lovely harbour town which is within easy reach of the busier louder Puerto del Carmen, and only 20-30 minutes from Arecife airport. The harbour has an excellent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, lovely views across the harbour, and a great place to sit and watch people.

The Cesar Manrique house in Haria and foundation at Tahiche...
The Cesar Manrique house in Haria and foundation at Tahiche are well worth a visit. His artwork and architecture are visible throughout the island. Hiring a car is probably advisable as the local bus stop is slightly out of town. Two restaurants for good quality food are Bodega Uga and La Bodega De Santiago.
Location is excellent - situated in lovely marina Puerto Calero, close to center (but not too close :-). Puerto Calero si beautiful and well equipped. If you plan doing trips, this location is perfect, in the middle of all points of interest.
Villa is very comfortable - it is large inside and outside. The best part is garden with pool and two terraces - one with sunroof and one without. Coupled with beautiful ocean view - it is an extremely comfortable place to stay. Would like to visit again. Carlos, as a host, was excellent, thank you.
The rooms are heavenly, spacious and very well equipped.
The grounds are very well maintained which makes roaming throughout the complex feel magical.
the breakfast buffet is fantastic with its of choices so that you can change what you eat every time and everything is appetising.
The pool areas are beautiful.
The staff is always amazingly kind and accommodating. We always feel cherished and taken care of which is why we return frequently to the hotel.
The development f the gym is great, more space and more equipment.
The location was excellent as well as the villa itself rooms were all very spacious and the pool a delight. All the facilities whether you wanted to eat in the villa were more than adequate, or walk to the local restaurants and bars. The resort is very quiet and is a busy marina during the day, generally the restaurants start to close down at 10:30 when the eaters have left. You can walk or catch the water bus, to the bigger resort where there is more late entertainment and a taxi back is about €7.5..
My husband and I returned for a 2nd visit. We love Secrets! Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. Comfy beds. Gorgeous views. Staff goes above and beyond (Chloe and another front desk girl) to make your stay perfect. Gym is nice. Pools are gorgeous. Easy to walk to the pier (and the small grocery to get sunscreen and snacks). We find that having breakfast and dinner (half board) is MORE than enough! We love you Secrets Lanzarote!
The hotel is beautifully situated on the coast of Puerto Calero, a few minutes walk to a small marina. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable (we had a suite) and the structure has a small beach and a few pools with bar service. A big appreciation to the bar waiter who served us everyday drinks at the beach, the only kind and professional staff I have seen during our stay.
Overall it's a pleasant stay.
Honestly, Secrets was probably one of the nicest resorts I've ever stayed at. The buffet food was varied and amazing! The room was lovely. The vibe was phenomenal. The staff extremely helpful (especially the front desk).
The courtesy room offered for a quick shower and clean up once we had checked out of the hotel but hanging at the resort until our flight was a generous touch!
this is a gorgeous welcoming villa in a perfect location. Puerto Calero is very quiet but easy drive to busier towns. shared pool was brilliant and loved sunbathing on the roof terrace. Cristina, the owner messaged me prior to arrival and I was able to clarify many things with her prior and during my stay.
the properly was very clean and had all bedding & towels which was great.
we were at secrets resort as a couple in first week of September , the resort itself was great was not full so plenty of space at the pool. beautiful manicured grounds. the hotel rooms were gorgeous and new. the staff was excellent and the night time entertainment was fun. we liked it so much we booked for next year same please.
Lovely comfortable villa, and loved the private pool that comes with each villa. Very welcoming host and they were always available to help and answer any questions. Very lovely people indeed.
The villas are self-catering so we got to go out and try different restaurants along the Puerto Calero marina and in Puerto Carmen.
Peaceful quiet relaxing hotel.
Wonderful place to rewind and enjoy their facilities
All staff we met had a smile on their face and looked after us. Breakfast was delicious.
Rooms are bright spacious and have balconies with sun beds and table/chairs.
Mini bar and coffee machine a much welcome extra touch.
We loved breakfast, great choice of foods.
There were so many sunbeds no shortage for everyone.
Staff were all very friendly.
Pools were spotless.
Hotel was spotless too.
Pleasant Manager around the premises at all times.
Courtesy bus into Puerto Del Carmen was so convenient.
It is not for every traveller, but for solo travelling was idea. You have to eat out for any cooked food but snacks are manageable and provide you go with that attitude you will not be disappointed Puerto Calero great location and coastal walks overlook the sea
Fabulous location - amazing views - short walk to all that Puerto Calero has to offer - Lovely little heated pool - kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook with.
amazing luxury villa with an astonishing view. Fernando is one of the owners, he was very very helpful during our stay. this made our stay in Lanzarote extra comfortable.
