Fantastic upmarket resort with an attractive harbour and access to lots of things to do (ferry - or coastal walk - to Puerto del Carmen; submarine safari; buggy trips; jet ski trips; harbour side shops and varied restaurants and bars) in a very safe community with visible and regular security patrols. 15-20 minutes from the airport. The resort is set to go up a notch when the new Hiperdino supermarket opens, although we were a bit sad to see that Ferrer (quality fashion) and The Harbour Club (excellent dining) had closed since our last trip. However, there is still a good range of very good places to eat and drink overlooking the harbour and for shopping both Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca (particularly the new part between the old town and Rubicon) have excellent shops. Fund Grube and Mint are particular favourite for a splurge on fragrance and fashion - don't make the mistake of buying duty free before you have checked out Fund Grube and Dahlia for fragrance.

Beautiful harbour with bars & restaurants.
Beautiful harbour with bars & restaurants. There is some building work at the moment just outside the harbour which is affecting the properties around it with noise from 7.30am - 5 pm while building a commercial centre

Puerto Calero is a lovely harbour town which is within easy reach of the busier louder Puerto del Carmen, and only 20-30 minutes from Arecife airport. The harbour has an excellent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, lovely views across the harbour, and a great place to sit and watch people.

The Cesar Manrique house in Haria and foundation at Tahiche...
The Cesar Manrique house in Haria and foundation at Tahiche are well worth a visit. His artwork and architecture are visible throughout the island. Hiring a car is probably advisable as the local bus stop is slightly out of town. Two restaurants for good quality food are Bodega Uga and La Bodega De Santiago.
This is a really lovely apartment in Puerto Calero with a lovely host! It is peaceful, quiet and clean with easy access to the pool nearby and sun on the balcony in the morning and on the terrace at the front in the afternoon. Rosa the host was really friendly and helpful for check in and very generous when I needed to check out a late. Puerto Calero is a nice quiet area with a lovely harbour and the coastal walk along to the busier Puerto Del Carmen is really nice - would recommend! This is a good spot for solo travellers.
The rooms are heavenly, spacious and very well equipped.
The grounds are very well maintained which makes roaming throughout the complex feel magical.
the breakfast buffet is fantastic with its of choices so that you can change what you eat every time and everything is appetising.
The pool areas are beautiful.
The staff is always amazingly kind and accommodating. We always feel cherished and taken care of which is why we return frequently to the hotel.
The development f the gym is great, more space and more equipment.
The villa is traditional clean and comfortable. The furniture is good quality, with lots of home comforts and very well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. The Outside area and BBQ are fabulous as you get the beauty of anytime cooking as it’s all undercover. We even had a distant sea view from the terrace, which was an unexpected bonus. The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating with good communication. Location wise, it is perfect for a stay in Puerto Calero. We would definitely return.
The location was excellent as well as the villa itself rooms were all very spacious and the pool a delight. All the facilities whether you wanted to eat in the villa were more than adequate, or walk to the local restaurants and bars. The resort is very quiet and is a busy marina during the day, generally the restaurants start to close down at 10:30 when the eaters have left. You can walk or catch the water bus, to the bigger resort where there is more late entertainment and a taxi back is about €7.5..
My husband and I returned for a 2nd visit. We love Secrets! Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. Comfy beds. Gorgeous views. Staff goes above and beyond (Chloe and another front desk girl) to make your stay perfect. Gym is nice. Pools are gorgeous. Easy to walk to the pier (and the small grocery to get sunscreen and snacks). We find that having breakfast and dinner (half board) is MORE than enough! We love you Secrets Lanzarote!
Perfect location in the south east part of the island, close enough to walk to Puerto Del Carmen old town and loads of coves and beaches to explore. Great little boat to chill out on the top deck and enough amenities to keep you going. The host Antonalina was very nice and although the boat didn’t have a shower they had a private shower block 2 minutes walks from the boat. Highly recommend
Honestly, Secrets was probably one of the nicest resorts I've ever stayed at. The buffet food was varied and amazing! The room was lovely. The vibe was phenomenal. The staff extremely helpful (especially the front desk).
The courtesy room offered for a quick shower and clean up once we had checked out of the hotel but hanging at the resort until our flight was a generous touch!
Good food supplies on arrival.
Spacious pleasant areas for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
Excellent location for the very good Sports Club Puerto Calero.
Solarium area up on the ground level.
Good access point to walking and cycling routes.
Easy to reach harbour area with numerous shops and restaurants.
Excellent Playa Quemada, beautiful beach and cliff walking area.
Good location, 10 min walk to the shops and restaurants in Puerto Calero.
Good outside space with two eating areas, sun on one terrace in the morning and the other in the afternoon and evening. Very well equipped with everything you need and tastefully furnished.
Extremely friendly hosts and very good communicators, always responded immediately.

The pool was great and AC in the bedrooms was also very welcome as it was very hot during our stay.
The kitchen was fully equipped, and the villa was very spacious and clean.
Carlos was a wonderful host, always available and easy to contact and very helpful.
We had a great stay in Puerto Calero
Staff are lovely, very good facilities and really relaxing. Konte at reception was very helpful. The town of Puerto Calero is only a 10 minute walk, and is packed with restaurants and bars.
Comfortable stay and good value money. Location in Puerto Calero is a 8min walk to the harbour where the restaurants and shops are. It was very clean and the apartment was well equipped.
Fabulous location - amazing views - short walk to all that Puerto Calero has to offer - Lovely little heated pool - kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook with.
Good location, convenient for the restaurants in Puerto Calero. Great outside seating area which caught the winter sun. Well equipped, clean and comfortable.
