parking just in front of the hotel, quiet area despite being in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. the best was being able to sit in the garden and read peacefully. check-in was super simple and no problem that I did my booking 30 minutes before arrival. room was spacious and had a great view with large windows. would come again!

The room was nice and big, as was the bathroom. What a comfortable stay! The bed was also quite comfy, and I had windows out to the terrace to dry anything or let in a little air. Check in was so easy, and the staff were available and friendly. Great shower with hot water, also provided little soap and shampoo. Well located for lakes and Cares Route. 2km from grocery store (need car to get here or anywhere). I felt it was a great value for money, favorite place in my 6 day roadtrip through Asturias

Really enjoyable stay in a wonderful area to access the region, with great accommodations. My favorite part of the room was the generous patio.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel for both days of our stay (and these arrangements were made at check in). All of our meals were excellent. We enjoyed visiting the garden in the evening, where we rarely saw other guests.
Situated in the center of Arenas de Cabrales, near the River Cares, famous for its trout and salmon, this is the ideal base for exploring Picos de Europa National Park.

The hostal was better than what we expected. Even if the personnel does not speak English we manage to understand and they helped with directions and map for our hike 😁The rooms and bathroom were really clean ( even the shared ones), and food was tasty.

Poncebos is a great starting point for treks in los Picos.
Poncebos is a great starting point for treks in los Picos. The funicular train up to Bulnes is here as is the path that goes up to Bulnes. You can also start the Cares gorge walk here. This is one of the most beautiful walks in Spain and accessible to all ages.
Perfect place for a hiking trip in Poncebos. Many trails start near the hostel, including the famous Ruta del Cares (the Cares Trail).
Also, the cable car to Bulnes is close (you could also do the hike as I did). The breakfast is good, not extraordinary. Worth the price. Very convenient parking in front. Good staff.

Amazing location ans view!! So close to the trail head for the main hike :) we had free parking in the street and had wifi! Only worked for half our trip but to have any service at all in the mountains was an unexpected treat. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Also a very cute gift shop in the hotel thats very affordable for last minute hiking gear or souveneirs.
