Far end of town but still on the Camino so helped the next morning. Washing machine a big selling point for us. Air con was great too.

There are two apartments sharing one entrance off the street. The entrance is marked with an AT sign so it is easy to find. There is a small lobby area off the street, shared with the other (Laga) apartment. The same code opened
the entrance door off the street as well as the entrance to the apartment. We stayed in the Laida apartment which is on the ground floor. It was immaculate with a well laid out living space. It has a fully fitted kitchen area with fridge, cooker and washer/dryer. The bathroom was very large with a fully accessible toilet and shower, located at the back of the apartment. The bed was very clean and very comfortable. There is a window onto the street with a metal shutter for privacy. It is a quiet neighbourhood and we had no noise disturbance during the night. It is located a short walk from the main train station with easy access to all the places of interest, restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed our stay here.

For dinner it is necessary to book a tablet in advance, as per all the cities in the Basque Country.
With the Eusko train you can reach in 30 minutes some villages on the coast such as Mundaka and Bermeo, very beautiful places. You can buy the Barik card to travel at a very low price on all kind of public transport in Bizkaya.

The communication with the hotel was very uncomplicated and we felt very supported with our special requests. Very family friendly - we travelled with a 11 month old and the stay was very smooth.
Nice hotel, that had a really "grand and traditional" feel. Friendly and helpful staff, good location for Camino and exploring the interesting town of Gernika. Good breakfast.
