A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.
We thought Hotel New Bilbao Airport was great. Our room was huge and clean with a comfortable bed, and it had a smart modern design -- specifically, it had charging outlets on each side of the bed near the headboard. It'd be nice if all hotels had the same. The front-desk employees were great, the price was right for the beer at the small bar area, and the airport shuttle did the job at 5:10 a.m. Would recommend!
It was close to the Bilbao airport and had a free shuttle. We arrived at the airport via bus from San Sebastián and the hotel picked us up within 15 minutes. We reserved two rooms since we are traveling with two kids. The two rooms were on separate floors and they were unfortunately not able to move us closer. The stairwell was the best part of the hotel itself; it was light.
Convenient and pleasant hotel in proximity to the airport, Practical solution for overnight before a morning flight out of Bilbao. Free and uncomplicated parking for the rental car. Nice third-party restaurant next to hotel's entrance. The room was simple and clean. Breakfast is light but was sufficient for us for a small morning bite
We loved the proximity of the hotel to the airport as well as its comfort, value, and cleanliness. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind; they were attentive and hands on helpful with any questions and assistance we needed. In our stay in particular, Eneko and Carolina were exceptional staff.

Only a few minutes drive to the top of the Bilbao Funicular railway where there is free parking and every 15 minutes takes you down into the heart of Bilbao for around 4,50euros including return trip..
There were some miscommunication between Booking.com and the hotel so there could be problems but I can't stress enough how wonderfully and professionally staff sorted that out. We were just waiting few minutes more and all was ok at the end. Many thanks to the reception staff from our side!
Close to airport. Shuttle was convenient for a very early flight. This is the main reason to choose this hotel. Otherwise, the ride from city center is short enough that you can stay in a more pleasant downtown hotel next to attractions and good restaurants.
The proximity to the airport and free shuttle was great for an early morning flight. This hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. 10 min walk to Derio train station to take the Euskotren to downtown Bilbao. Convenient on site bar/ Resturant
A smart hotel with excellent bedding, super quiet, well planned room. Staff very helpful, even made a dinner reservation at their recommended restaurant which was terrific, just 20mins walk. Free airport shuttle. Bar and breakfast available.
This hotel is very handy for an early flight from Bilbao airport and is not the first time we have stayed here. The staff are very nice, the adjacent restaurant kid friendly. Breakfast buffet from 5am is a plus.

Location is good but it was weird that there was no possibility to walk to hotel from airport.
