Beautiful little cottage in the heart of the lively old part right on the sea. The interior is nicely and effectively designed for the space. The view from that window is the best of the best. Check in and out and communication with Patricia flawless and accurate. Really enjoyed it.

We are Pilgrims walking El Camino Espiritual, so the location was perfect, right on the road, with beautiful views over the ocean! A perfect writers retreat. The design and the use of this beautiful small space was outstanding! One of our favorite places that we’ve stayed at, and a place that we would love to come back to

Location and charm. It tucked right town and a stone throw for the water which the pictures reveal.
It was so quaint almost magical. Step out the door you are in the old town surrounded by history take a left stroll a 30 meters and you are at a restaurant with a patio that continues to the sea with fantastic view. The facilities were perfect to two tired pilgrims. But it was our hosts that made it so pleasurable. We have stayed at a number of luxury resorts but have never been so well looked after by our hosts. There is no limit to there kindness and thoughtfulness. We were considering having our bags carried for the next stage of the journey. We bumped into her and her husband at the restaurant mention above (which is owned by the family) she said her dad (who is a taxi driver) would do this for us. Called him, he came to the restaurant so we could meet him and be reassured who would bring them to us. The following morning we left managed our walk to our destination. We called her she arranged for dad to pick up the bags and bring them to us!
Beautiful house and garden! The apartment is spacious and clean, the location is perfect, and the host is very reachable and easy to communicate with. It was very helpful to have the parking space nearby. I wish we had more time to spend here!

Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved.
Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved. Having a car it is a great base for exploring and enjoying the gorgeous beaches specially further west along the coast.
I was however looking forward to a change of restaurants after a week in Combarro as the emphasis is understandably on fish.
Restaurant O Bocoi was good and Taberna Leucoina was great tho pricer.
Old town is very compact but with steps, the main town is easy to navigate.

There are 2 streets intended for tourists.
There are 2 streets intended for tourists. You can walk those slowly. After that, you can walk for exercise and then walk every possible town street slowly within 2 hours. So, it's tiny, but this mariner village is exquisite, and an absolute Must-see. The architecture is unique to the area, the artesanal shops are fun and plentiful (a half dozen or so), and there is little better than to sit and relax and enjoy chiperones, pimientos de Padrón, etc., on any terrace overlooking the river. This town is beautiful day and night. There are plenty of places to eat well.
If you come for the beaches, beware.
They are extremely small, and offer no parasols or lounge chairs for rent. In fact, the beaches are too small for all that stuff. And beware of the tide cycle. The tides cycle out of the river gulf, or inlet, so that instead of a hot day swimming, you may enjoy only a curious time walking 🚶 the bed and seeing some boats dry docked. You'll have to time your swimming with the tide cycle, which changes about 4 times every 24 hours, so be aware of that. And, it is not exactly for swimming, but more for wading and cooling off in. It is perfect if you're traveling with small kids or the elderly that do not enjoy depth or waves. Here the water is for wading, sitting and cooling in. Very calm and tranquil.
Also, be aware that Google maps is NOT up to date. For example, it shows the restaurant, "Porta do Mar Asador" as open with great reviews when, in fact, the place closed permanently in 2020, so change your plan. Alternatives are abundant, so, no worries.
You must stay at this albergue! It looks like an hotel
Everything was superb, from the simpathy of the receptionist, to the conditions in the room, modern forniture, toilets, and a beautiful kitchen outside (totally equiped, you don't need to bring cutlery with you!) with a comfortable sofa and a nice TV.
There's also a beautiful garden with some tables where you can have a glass of wine by the end of the day or have your dinner.
Amazing place with a beautiful view. It was by far the best albergue I stayed during my camino.
If you want a slice of authentic life in Combarro this is your spot! It is not a super modern chic hotel but the local atmosphere more than compensates. Yes, The bathroom in my private room was a little small but it was more than adequate. The breakfast had good fresh coffee and it was served early. The place is lived in and a bit gritty and not manicured for tourists, but I appreciate that. Local people also seem to use the place to start their day and for me that's always a bonus.
Really friendly warm welcome from host family (without being in any way intrusive). We picked amazing tomato, peppers and lemons from the garden, and fresh roast chestnuts and home made wine were brought to our door. There was a well equipped kitchen, a near by super market and several nice harbour restaurants in Combarro. Easy bike or car trip in to Pontevedra.
Etc etc super clean, comfortable, cozy, lots of outside space with sun and shade, easy parking....
Casa Noelmar was an unexpected find after our first booking in Combarro was cancelled. The location in the midst of the old town was exceptional and the apartment was beautiful with everything we needed. Victor met us and showed us where to park and maintained excellent communication and support. We would have loved to stay longer. Everywhere was walkable and we had a beautiful dinner by the sea watching the moonrise. We would definitely return here.
The property was an excellent stop for us on the Camino Portuguese the location was excellent
The hotel
Was very well maintained and extremely clean . The rooms were very good size and d Bathroom and Shower was excellent lots of hot water which is extremely gratifying after a long day walking. The breakfast was more than expected and the staff opened the coffee shop early so we could have coffee before breakfast .
Located on the Camino, central to the historic area of Combarro, quiet, cozy, clean, well thought out layout with all the amenities a traveler could want, kitchen that equipped us to make a simple meal, bath with a tub and a washing machine. Super cute place with fabulous views from the small balcony and living area windows. Grocery store within walking distance.
One of the best places I’ve slept so far; the owners (Sr Luis and his wife Sra Maria Angeles) are amazing and helpful hosts. The hotel is very close to the Camino Variante Espiritual and restaurants, has a bar and breakfast (fee) in the morning. Rooms have everything you need for a break from hostels or albergues, super clean, I would recommend and stay again.
We loved our stay in Combarro. Mari's place was in the perfect location with great views. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Mari was a great host. We also enjoyed dinner at her family's restaurant that evening. We'll be back!
The hotel is quite older, but everything is in great shape and very clean. If you get an ocean view you will not be disappointed, it is breath taking. If you are walking Camino, the hotel is just on the way, next to the trail.
Large room, very clean and comfortable. Despite being on a busy road it was very quiet in the room. Easy and secure parking at the hotel and the inclusive breakfast was very good. WiFi worked well and the staff were fun.
Location - in the heart of Combarro old town. This is a traditional Galician fisherman’s cottage.
Outside spaces - there’s 2!
Parking - secure and free
Facilities - great to be able to do laundry.
Staffs very friendly, i felt welcomed. Room is good for the price and location is OK. The hotel is right beside the main road yet not noisy due to the double layer windows.
hotel is at walking distance from Combarro historic center, the room was very clean and confortable. the staff was super friendly and the breakfast was very good.
clean. functional. good shower. comfortable bed. close to combarro village which is gorgeous with lots of fab restaurants. nice view of the sea from the bedrooms.
