A beautiful quaint traditional hotel
I was given an attic type room but it was comfortable and clean
The decor in the hotel was luxurious and reminded me of past times with quality and style
I was given a special reserved table at breakfast as I was booked as a Pilgrim
There was a beautiful bar playing jazz which led to a nice garden
A thermal spa with treatments was available
The staff were helpful and explained everything upon arrival

It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque. Nice parks to walk around, plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's small so easy to get around by walking. Did not partake of the hot springs but this town definitely famous for them.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village.
Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

We only stayed in Caldas de Reis as we were walking the Camino Portugese. We saw lots of things that'd been nice to further explore if we'd had a couple of days there....river, historic buildings etc.
The location is perfect, very central but also not on the main drag so no unwelcome noise. My room had bath and shower. The bath was very welcome after a long day's walk. Comfortable bed and good-sized room made for a lovely stay. The hotel is up a flight of stairs so slightly hard to find.
An amazing hotel to stay in. The host is wonderful and the gardens and pool are fantastic. We wished we could stay longer.
Also yhe host recommended a great local restaurant which we really enjoyed
A beautiful room on the Camino. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the window lovely. Breakfast was down the road at the sister hotel, but very easy, delicious and filling.
