Everything about our stay was excellent from check-in to departure. The food was superb, the room wonderful and all staff friendly and incredibly helpful. There was also no extra charge for us leaving our car in the parking slot until 4.00pm because of a change in our ferry times. We're booking up again for a return visit in September. Thanks for a super stay.

Location was perfect. Kevin the trainee on the front desk was excellent, friendly and professional. Maria on the other hand was extremely rude and unhelpful. Kevin should give her some training.
Hotel was clean.

A friendly city for tourists. The airport is small and practical. Many good places for any meals. The Gugenheim museum is its main attraction. Walking along the river on wide boulevards is easy and worthwhile. The catalan language, although ancient, is still spoken by most people in and around town - all of whom also speak spanish.

Bilbao is a very cosy and hospitable town.
Bilbao is a very cosy and hospitable town. The central part (Guggenheim museum, Casco Viejo) could be seen in two days, but it also has very beautiful beaches and green vicinities that deserve visiting. We booked a one-day trip to San Sebastian and San Juan de Gastelugatxe, and it was worth it! Pinchos are great!

Bilbao is an exceptional city.
Bilbao is an exceptional city. It is friendly and maintained in very good condition. There are teams regularly cleaning streets, the river and the open spaces. Transport is excellent. Trams and the metro are frequent and cheap. There is a lot to do from walking around the old town or along the river to visiting the Guggenheim. We also visited the Botanical gardens, went up the Funicular de Artxanda. We also had a Pintxos tour and not only enjoyed good food and wine but learnt a lot about Basque history and culture.

We did enjoy Bilboa.
We did enjoy Bilboa. It was a very convenient city to arrive in and depart from. We enjoyed the Guggenheim Museum, the funicular, walking the canal, and the Ribiera Market. It a fun city to walk, as there are old churches and other old buildings throughout the city and charming narrow walking only streets. The mountains up beyond Bilboa give it a nice back drop, and good kicking off place to explore the cave paintings and mountain from. We eat a vegan, whole food diet and were able to find lots of fruits and vegetables in the local markets, and found Naked and Sated which we very much enjoyed.

A very interesting old town.
A very interesting old town. Camino de Santiago markers can be spotted on some paving slabs between churches. River trip is worth while and the architecture of the Guggenheim is stunning. The park near the Fine Arts Museum is very relaxing.
Try Pintxos for lunch and try the salted cod if you dare!

Bilbao is a small city so 3/4 days is plenty to see all the main attractions. There is a great range of restaurants to choose from, many do not serve food until after 7.30pm and many close during the afternoon. The Guggenheim and Fine Art Gallery are worth a visit, also take the Funacular to get a great view of the city, this is just beside the Old Town. We took a trip by metro out to Getxo for a day by the sea and this was well worth the trip.
The rooms were comfortable; , the rooftop breakfast was top quality with a view of the Guggenheim! My daughter was hospitalized in the early morning hours of the one night of our stay & the staff helped make EVERYTHING easy and so helpful for the two of us who speak only English (from the states). We needed to stay on an extra night so my daughter could rest and they were 100% accommodating on short notice. It made an unplanned not so easy moment turn into a very comfortable one. Thank you all at the Gran Hotel Domine Bibao!!!
Perfect location across the street from Guggenheum museum, a short walk to the old town along the river. Compact but nice gym/wellness area. The rooms are nicely appointed but not the most inspiring view when looking into the courtyard at the shaft of the giant phallic sculpture. The lavender spray at turndown is a lovely touch. The staff are super and always willing to help. Good parking facilities and quite accessible, not as tight or difficult to navigate as many city centre hotels in Spain.
Very nice historical building, helpful staff, excellent location for the Guggenheim Museum, theatre, Old town etc. You can take a bus from airport to get to the hotel. It takes 20 min or so and costs €3. The bus will drop you just across the street. You should visit some bars in the old town where they serve amazing tapas and wine, and you will eat with locals. There are 13 Michelin restaurants and their prices seem quite good as well. Bilbao is an amazing city and I will definitely come back.
Location was perfect because it's close to everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they are kind enough to recommend restaurants and other attractions around Bilbao, even the transportation and maps how to get there. We were the first occupants of the hotel after they opened a day before we checked-in so the everything was so clean and fresh. We truly appreciate the hand-written welcome note and the goodies on the bed when we enter the room.
The hotel is centrally located within an easy walk to the CBD of Bilbao and the tourist attractions. Also a short walk to the Old Town, where you can enjoy Pintxos. Our room was large with a separate bedroom to the lounge, kitchen/ dining room. Coffee machine with Nespresso pods, kettle, crockery, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile. Safe, secure and large parking garage.
A pleasant hotel in the new city centre, on the main street of Bilbao. The hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of the Guggenheim Museum and the Museo de Bellas Artes. Availability of various types of pintxos bars in the nearby area. Walking distance to the Old Town. The room was spacious enough, equipped with a coffee maker. Very good breakfast. Extremely professional and helpful reception staff.
It was a perfect little hotel in the heart of the Old Town and it's location was super convenient for exploring the city. Our room was a lovely twin room and was really quiet despite overlooking a busy street. The manager who checked us in was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Bilbao.
The hotel is located in the old town of Bilbao, and you just walk out onto the street for wonderful places to eat and explore, with an easy walk to the Guggenheim along the river. The room itself was a good size, immaculately clean with a comfortable bed. Considering it was a third-floor room above a reasonably busy street the room was really quite soundproof and dark with the shutters closed.
Small Boutique style hotel, nice modern, spacious and clean room overlooking the river next to the old town and a 10 minute walk to the centre. Great foe exploring Bilbao. There is a tram stop 1 minute walk away which takes you around the city. Staff were very nice and helpful. Nice bar/restaurant on the ground floor and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again.
Staff is very helpful. Good location - just nearby old town. Tram and bus stops near by. Cafes and bars and grocery stores nearby - no point to take hotel's relatively expensive breakfast. Considering high price levels of Bilbao's hotels Sirimiri seems to have ok price/quality ratio.
Comfy hotel with friendly staff. Although it had been decorated well, some of the details were a little tired - scratched walls, etc - but generally it was nice. The area was ok and it was walkable to old town, but it wasn't my favourite area of Bilbao that I've stayed in.
A pleasant hotel in the old part of Bilbao. Lots of activities outside but the noise wasn’t a problem due to good insulation. A vibrant neighborhood with many locals.
A lovely area that we almost missed is a 15-20 walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tayko Bilbao. The room is beautifully furnished and especially the bed is big and very comfortable. We and also our dog were warmly welcomed and we would recommend to stay here anytime.
Location was about 2km outside the old town of Bilbao, bus just outside the door but we opted to walk in along which was fine …hotel was beautiful & ample parking unground …no problem returning to stay here again
The Location was perfect, the room facilities were brilliant. Had a really comfortable stay. Would highly recommend the hotel. Didn't have the breakfast as there were too many hip places to try out in Bilbao.
Amazing location in the heart of old city. It is super clean and I love the sparse decor. The room has a heat pump so you can customize the temperature. Best place we stayed in in Spain.
Beautiful rooms, great value, one unique thing was the sparkling water dispenser on every floor. Fabulous idea! Excellent breakfast, the best we encounter in all of Spain.
Everything...From the staff to the location...You could not ask for a better hotel in Bilbao...Personal attention in an laid back environment makes for a enjoyable stay...
Good location, nice and helpful staff. The parking space is close to the hotel and not tight as it is sometimes in Spain.
There is a kettle, coffee and tea in the room.
