We are two self-catering 70+ year olds driving around Portugal and Spain for a couple of months. All of the apartments are accessed via Travesa Cruz 5 and easily reached with google maps. There were parking spots on the surrounding streets and we found one easily.
We were in apartment D1 on the 5th floor and we loved it! Booking.com doesn’t show the photos for different room options separately & some reviews have said they didn’t get what they wanted.
We were really happy that we got the apartment we wanted. There’s lots of light, it’s comfortable with lots of space, a large table, great kitchen, reverse cycle aircon and a large terrace with mountain views accessible through glass doors from the kitchen and main area. There’s not that much to see & do in Bejar so after some exploring we took it as an opportunity to do some washing, cook meals and sit on the terrace admiring the view. We were able to really relax here.
El descanso de la Covatilla is set in Béjar. Among the facilities at this property are a 24-hour front desk and a lift, along with free WiFi throughout the property.

Very clean, good facilities, plenty of space. Easy parking on the road opposite.
Good location with supermarkets nearby.
Bejar was ok as a jumping off point. If we were to come back to the area we would probably stay in Candolario,. a small town that is more picturesque and only 13 minutes away.
The visit to the Plaza del Toro was definitely worth the time as was walking the wall of Bejar.

We went to the Blues festival held every July in the old bull ring up in the chestnut woods above Bejar so were just wanting a room to sleep.
Bejar itself, interesting old town once centre of a thriving wool and cloth trade but feeling in decline now with closed shops. But still attractive old quarter along the Main Street linking several plazas. The main square st the bottom has the theatre, and cámara oscura which is worth a visit. As well as the route of the mill industry, sculpture museum, Jewish quarter. The surrounding country side is very pretty for walking, cycling. Visit particularly Candelario traditional centre of artisan sausages etc with streams channels down the streets and large traditional alpine houses, and Baños de Mibtenayor, spa town.

Bejar is an underrated town from the international tourist point of view. It's real advantage in charm is that it is almost completely unspoilt by tourism and well worth a visit as it is a well-preserved and photogenic town. It is a medieval fortified town standing on a plateau above ravine. The scenery is great on a clear day. The Sierra Del Bejar is good for walking and exploring.

An excellent small hotel, well located at the north end of the town, with handy street parking behind it. It's run by two delightful and very helpful ladies. There is no breakfast onsite but there is a cafe and an excellent restaurant below the property. Bejar is a good stopping point from Santander/Bilbao when heading north or south.
We have stayed here before -hence our revisit! we were not disappointed-a typical friendly spanish country hotel offering the greatest value for money. The owner was friendly and helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also enjoyed the company of the horses-Muy boinito Caballos!!!!!
The hotel is a small family run establishment. Although we sometimes communicate via Google translate, I have no Spanish above being polite, we are always warmly met.
Bejar is a small town in a valley and Los Duques is located at the top of the hill giving fabulous views.
