The location is great.. nice view, big yard, you have a chimney in the room, they give you wood and diesel to fire it.
You are really close to Dos Chorreras (where you can breakfast or lunch) and the entrance of Cajas National Park
Featuring a restaurant, a bar, and a garden, Hacienda Hostería Dos Chorreras offers accommodation with panoramic mountain views and free Wi-Fi. Cuenca’s historical centre is a 30-minute drive away.

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed in my life, and I've stayed at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite and the Banff Springs Hotel. The mountains are not as spectacular, but the hotel sure is. I love how they have brought nature inside with huge boulders coming out of the walls, and waterfalls and streams everywhere. The room was nice and warm and the staff came to light our fireplace as soon as I called. It was chilly and rainy outside, but inside was delightful. And if you don't have a room with a fireplace, there are at least two gorgeous ones in public areas with comfortable seating.
Offering a garden and garden view, MOLINO DEL PUENTE is located in Cuenca, 19 km from Pumapungo Museum and 19 km from Tomebamba River. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking.
Caballo Campana is a colonial family-run Hacienda hidden in the flourishing Misicata forests, 15-minutes drive from Cuenca. It offers agro-tourism excursions and a horse riding school with 32 stables....

It is a botanical garden with horses.Everything is beautifully maintained.Breakfast was plentiful and you can stroll around the property for hours.

Hosteria is very conveniently located for access to Llaviucu or Laguna Torreadora. Also a great (albeit steep) hiking trail right up the hill from the lodge. Trail takes you into a back entrance for the National Park, but it's over 800' up the hill so be ready for that.
There's a fireplace in the bungalow, but it doesn't help heat the room all that much. Gets pretty chilly at night.
