The hosts were incredible! The food I paid for was delicious and home cooked. It is located walking distance to a few waterfalls, lakes and boiling lake hike. Easier to arrive by car. I took a bus and hitchhiked (which is common around there).

The property is a nice 3-room pension, one of the few in Trafalgar, in the middle of important sites to be visited. Host was very forthcoming, helpful and did extra's over what was to be expected. It is of course a mountain situation, so expect no AC, swimming pool or restaurant, but there is a nice shared patio kitchen with table where you can meet the other tenants. Very good value for money.

Amazing location near river, quiet place with sound of nature. Apartments are fully equipped, even with some welcome food, which is very nice. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and big. We loved this place.

Nature and Adventure is a must for me so hence me coming to Dominica. Scotts Head;OMG that place is like a Paradise very beautiful, your waterfalls beautiful and COLD, SCREWS; that hot spring was really relaxing and nice. THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY; DO NOT GO THERE the Lady was 10/10 unpleasant the minute we arrived her face was unpleasant, I introduced myself & was hoping for an introduction but none,I asked a question she steups and turn off her face so the others who were with me walked off I remained because I have patience like job. She didn't even want me touch the pack of chocolate to read the ingredients far less ask her about the Chocolate,I asked her if she is not feeling well because as humans we can be irritated or uncomfortable if working and feeling sick her response was "I'm feeling good" so I was confused why all the ATTITUDE. I told her I'm not doing the tour I'm just buying Chocolates, I would have bought 15 Chocolate to carry back home for family and friends but her ATTITUDE, she walked off on me and I was CONFUSED and that's when my patience ended and I had to open my mouth. YOU CANNOT TREAT tourist who coming to your place of business like that, other tourist who were there told one of the Lady who were with me they are NOT BUYING because the lady has an attitude and she didn't do her anything. Tell me CHOCOLATE FACTORY how can you have workers who are unpleasant to customers. I even asked her DO YOU NOT WANT ME TO BUY FROM YOU or It's the other way around? HER ATTITUDE STINKS and I would be telling everyone DO NOT GO WHERE THEY MAKE CHOCOLATE in Dominica unless you get someone who is pleasant and put her to the BACK where she doesn't have to greet tourist. That attitude can upset your entire trip to Dominica....UNACCEPTABLE

A charming town with a lot of character, especially from the old stone and wooden buildings which are still in great shape. There's a lot to see in Dominica's capital - from the National Museum to the Botanical Gardens to old buildings like the Bishop's Residence.
Also, there are several places where you can get great food - Smoothylicious and the Rendezvous Restaurant come to mind as well as delicious local drinks.
Al and Joan, who run this place, were some of the most friendly and warm hearted people I've ever met. And you can see that they care about the people who visit Le Petit Paradise. If you're there, you have to try the beautiful food that Joan cooks fresh in authentic Dominican style, every evening. It's marvelous. And the location is perfect too. From there you can reach many of the best places in Guadeloupe easily. By hitchhiking, taking the local minibus, or with your own car or even walking. It really is a little paradise.
We had a wonderful stay at El Dorado Guesthouse. I was a little hesitant to book here due to not being in town, but we were actually very happy it was not in town (only a 5m drive down). We loved having the kitchen with all cooking supplies available, the view and balcony and pool were all spectacular and provided a relaxing start and end to every day. You will not be disappointed with this place! FYI, Roseau is the only city with stores for groceries, and with many restaurants available.
We really enjoyed staying at Ginette's place. It's very close to Roseau but in complete nature. The house is resourceful and if you pay attention you will see hummingbirds and agoutis.
Our host was absolutely amazing, she took care of the rental car and booked us a guide to the Boiling Lake Hike.
The host was very nice and welcoming, gave us advice for dinner and was very friendly and helpful. He had even bought some groceries for us (eggs and joghurt).
The apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped. I'd definitely recommend this apartment for a stay in the Roseau area.
Cocoa Cottages is located in a beautiful part of Dominica with easy access to the falls and trails as well as into Roseau. The rooms are beautifully apportioned and there is a real sense of being in the heart of the rain forest. The people working there are just amazing.
Perfect set up for SCUBA and other water sports. Literally two minutes from my room to the dock. Large clean rooms. I have used this hotel three years running for SCUBA and Sperm whale encounters. The hotel has been significantly upgraded over the last year.
The location is excellent, it is right on the water front on the main street of the capital Roseau. The room was modern, well equipped, comfortable and clean. The staff were polite but a little overworked, possibly more staff required.
Its closeness to the sea for ocean viewing. Away from the noisy city into a quiet but accessible suburb. It has the potential to be a great hotel when renovation is completed. Average room with its own patio great for viewing.
The dinner experience was the best! Its a fixed meal and the guesthouse host first comes out and explains whats going to be on the plate, how they cooked it, what ingredients were used, before they serve the food!
Breakfast is great platters of many fresh fruits, toast with butter, jam, cream cheese & hot cocoa, tea or coffee.
Gave us a great recommendation for lunch in Roseau at Pearl's. A super tasty & hearty lunch!!
I don’t think you can find better places in Roseau, everything was very good, close to ferry and bus. Be aware, there is no night life in this town, also no tourists. Pretty difficult to travel alone.
The place is very modern and the host was honestly the best I've had really friendly and helpful. I struggled to leave since I felt so at peace while there.
Rooms were beautiful and unique. Amazing location close to the city and to most outdoor sites. Meals were ABSOLUTELY worth it. Best food on the island.
