The guesthouse is outside a town and it felt as if we were staying on a farm. There are lots of walking trails. The food in the restaurant was very good!

Only truly interesting thing about the town of Triberg are the waterfalls. Other than that, the place has been spoiled by the overly touristy, quasi-Disneyland feel. The are much prettier and more interesting villages to visit in the Black Forest than this. On the other hand, it’s a good base if what you want to do is go hiking. Natural surroundings are great.

So many cool things to do and see in Triberg.
So many cool things to do and see in Triberg. We walked up to the main waterfall, strolled the main street, and bought a nice cookoo clock, designed and hand carved in shop. At night we parked on a back road under the stars and enjoyed no light pollution, taking in the amazing night sky view! Definitely recommend a visit to this Schwarzwald town!

The waterfall is worth the climb, and great that it's included in the guest card issued by the hotel. We also visited the Black Forest museum, which was interesting, although unfortunately our German wasn't good enough to read much of the information with the exhibits. The scenery is lovely.

The Black Forest is beautiful and Triberg is a charming town...
The Black Forest is beautiful and Triberg is a charming town, if maybe a little tourist-kitschy. There are not a lot of really good dining options -- Cafe Tresor is the only standout -- but there is a really nice grocery store, Edeka, right in the middle of town. The much-hyped waterfall is worth the short but steep hike. It's a good location to explore other towns and attractions.
This is a property with a great location. My partner and I were on a one day visit to Triberg and we couldn't have stayed at a more centrally located place. The view from our balcony was beautiful...a mix of both the city center and the Schwarzwald in the background. Our room was comfortable and we didn't have any problems with either checking in or while checking out. The breakfast was a modest yet decent spread of a typical German breakfast. We would definitely recommend this place for a one or two night stay.
The location is perfect for Triberg, right on the main corner. The staff was exceptional and friendly. Oliver was a great person to ask for information of and converse with, but all the staff were extremely friendly, and we enjoyed talking with everyone. The staff made the hotel.
We liked that it was a smaller, more family-run atmosphere and not a corporate feeling one.
We also ate at the restaurant and it was wonderful. Again, we asked for and received perfect recommendations.
Ooh boy, what an amazing place! It's right in the center of Triberg, only a 10 minute walk from the waterfalls. The concept is so much fun, I loved it! (I also miss my little Mupfel-Caravan quite a bit lol). The bathrooms are spacious and clean, as is the whole area. Parking space is right above the hall, equipped with an elevator that brings you right to the indoor camping area.
Staff was great, very friendly.
We were group of 4 friends visited Blackforest. The apartment is furnished with 2 bedroom, 1 living room and a bathroom. The apartment was clean and we were provided with new blankets and towels and toiletries. It has a kitchen so you can cook there. It's walkable distance to the waterfalls which is the highlight. We always walked to to downtown which is about 10 mins walk. Worth for money
The apartment is situated in the center of the town, close to the waterfalls. It is very beautifull, cozy and comfortable furnitured. Good beds. The kitchen was fully equiped. There was enough space to store all our luggage.
The hosts were very friendly and gave information about where to go and what to do. We can heartily recommend this accomodation.
Fantastic stay in such a peaceful and beautiful area. Peaceful and quiet farm stay - yet just a short drive into Triberg. The family loved helping out with the farm animals and Barbara and Isabelle were very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely recommend and would love to return again one day.
The apartment is at a great location, very convenient to visit the nearby attractions. The owner was very friendly and obliging, offered us the Konus card (which saved us quite some cost for entry to waterfalls) and also pointed us towards free parking area nearby. Good value for money.
Wonderful classic Triberg property. The rooms were updated but still have the old world charm. The staff was friendly, especially the young lady who served the breakfast area. Wonderful breakfast buffet with many options! We would definitely stay here again!
Location is great, right in town and within walking distance of all major Triberg attractions. Rooms were clean and there was a large parking lot/garage right behind the hotel (not free). Staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious!
The apartment was spacious and adjacent to a brook. Anna was very informative about navigating the area besides just the waterfalls. The property isn't a difficult walk from the train station.
Nice view of the town and the Black Forest, the staff was super friendly. Parking was available in the garage with a security gate. Rooms were big with heated bathroom floors.
We wanted to experience the Black Forest and staying at Gasthaus Staude was the perfect rural location. Our room was spacious, clean and the food in the restaurant was great.
The view from the balcony! Can't asked for more. And for the rate we paid for its really one of the most valued for money room I had stayed in through my Germany holiday.
very cute hotel although it's quite a walk (uphill) from the train station
really enjoyed breakfast and i think they have one of the nicest restaurants in Triberg
Nice property, family oriented.
Easy walkable hiking to waterfalls.
Good owner with prompt communication.
Except TV, all facilities available in the apartment.
