It was quiet and remote but not isolated. Each room has its own patio or balcony. There are three different hotel houses that are apart of the hotel. Each “house” has a nice common room separated by a door to the guest rooms. The staff was really nice and had no problem when we wanted to extend the trip a second day. They spent time letting us know what areas to explore and we actually went to two of their recommendations in one day. The hotel also has private parking but would assume in the on season you may have to reserve it. I absolutely would come back and would recommend to friends. If you are a coffee lover they also include gourmet coffee instead of your normal Keurig Costco brand. They have a super sweet black cat named Nala on property too!
Privately run, this is an historic, country-style guest house in the heart of the Black Forest.

Charming location in the Black Forest! Fresh, clean rooms which are well appointed. Bathroom is quite small but new and serviceable. Breakfast is a good standard but limited in quantity.

Münstertal is a nice area, although getting a lot of new buildings
Good sites to visit and lots of walking for "happy wanderers".
Fabulous nunnery - St. Trudpert - with an amazing church/chapel.
We, luckily having local knowledge, ate well at Gasthof Sonne and also at Camping Münstertal.
Avoid Hotel Linde, unless you enjoy arrogant and indifferent staff and zero service.
very nice innovative hotel with a green touch on top of the Schauinsland mountain. Our apartment under the roof was awesome and we even had a partial view down to the city of Freiburg from our balcony. Our beds were very comfortable. The wifi worked very well and there is a sauna on the premises and a breakfast buffet is offered in the mornings for an extra charge. There is also a restaurant on the premises. The staff at the reception was very nice and friendly.
A very nice, modern apartment with excellent facilities. The host occupies another part of the building and is available to deal instantly with any queries.
The property is located near to the terminus of the Munstertal railway which gives easy access to Staufen and the main railway line at Bad Krozingen. With the local Konus Card, included with the local Tourist Tax, travel is free by public transport throughout the area.
Absolutely everything! New, clean and in the great location in the close proximity to the cable car/ bus stop. Hiking trails starts right behind the hotel. Fantastic view from the balcony. Extremely friendly and helpful stuff, outstanding hospitality attitude. Sauna and yoga room with a view is such a fantastic bonus to morning / evening rituals in the nature. Thank you! I will definitely be back!
Staff always available, friendly and helpful and look after guests in a nice way.
Our room was large, light and airy and quiet. Comfortable beds. Lots of hot water. Bath (hooray) and shower.
Good food in the restaurant. Everything very clean.
Breakfast good but I would have liked some fruit as well as ham/cheese/bacon/eggs.
Coffee excellent. Good value hotel.
An exceptional experience due to the very unique location, view, cleanliness of the room. Not to forget the restaurant with a nice mixed menu as well as a healty good breakfast. A super friendly staff is welcoming you to the hotel, explaining all facilities and amenities as well as options to spend a great time.
Beautifully designed hotel with lovely room and thoughtful accessories. Lovely food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Nice terrace for sitting outside. Very nice friendly staff.
The area is fabulous with lots of other very nice restaurants and cafes.
Spacious fully equipped family apartments. Superb location surrounded by forest. Top attractions near by. Tranquility and beautiful nature straight from your balcony or hotel terrace. Kids were happy to hang there :)
Amazing guesthouse with the most friendly staff/owners you could imagine. Location is excellent and a breakfast you would have expected to have been served in a top London hotel.
