A must go for a day too hot to cycle: Ettwiesen lake past Marktoberdorf. It has all the amenities you need - also great for families with children. Landsberg a. Lech is also worth a stroll round the old town centre and to the Lech. Try Cafe Weber in Kaufbeuren centre for example Prinzregententorte.
