Everything, location is superb, in the heart of old herford the staff were super friendly and helpful , good sized rooms, nice bathroom with good shower , clean and tidy , the hotel is a beautiful old building with lots of character, nice and varied buffet breakfast , free parking , would definitely stay again and recommend to others,

Herford is my hometown so I am biased. I love returns to home as so much to do.The MARTa museum is brilliant. Wonderful surroundings for walking and mountain biking. Good places to eat out. Recommend Kupferherz and La Taverna. Shopping is a bit limited but Bielefeld near by. Cafe Kleine for breakfast. Give it a try! The churches are well worth checking out too. So serene and beautiful - and I am not a Christian.
I couldnt love this hotel more. The location is perfect. Beautiful setting near the town of Herford. It is only a short drive or taxi to the town centre and train station, and is only a couple of minutes off the autobahn. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are functional, clean and well maintained. The breakfast is excellent with a great selection of warm and cold food. We always use this hotel when visiting Herford.
Great welcome from Nadine who met us at the door when we arrived. Also 3 Herforder Pils in the fridge with a bottle of mineral water. Both Alexander und Nadine were very accommodating and helpful. Since the last time we had visited they had improved the kitchen sink unit. Also when they found out it was my wife's birthday they helped with the decoration. A really lovely and missing being able to book it next summer.
I don't know how to explain this, but I did not stay in this apartment exactly because I discovered that they had transferred me to another "hotel" located near them. Although I had taken an entire apartment, I discovered that what was available was a small room in a hotel. I accepted the offer because I did not want to waste time. I either look for something else or I don't find anything good nearby.
Hotel Zur Fürstabtei is a well maintained and attractive historic building.
The reception staff ( when on duty ) is very accommodating and eager to help with any question asked.
The location for travellers who want to make Herford their main destination for cultural, personal activities this is a first choice domicile

Wonderful place for stay in Herford, location is very convenient- ca. 10 minutes to the train station or big supermarket. The apartment was very clean and had all the necessary equipment. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
The Hotel was the perfect location for my visit to Herford. The staff were very helpful and very kindly spoke to me in English. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel and I will certainly stay there again on my next visit.
Location is great if you travel by car, the highway is just a couple of yards away. There is free parking space on site.
The hotel also doubles as a restaurant with excellent food and reasonable prices.

I liked everything about this hotel. They had a safe place to keep my bike overnight, the staff was wonderful, the breakfast was great and the room was very nice.
