Gravenbroich Is a small working town, but is a great location as it is halfway between Düsseldorf and Cologne, but a much cheaper place for a hotel room. Direct trains every hour from Cologne Airport, or change at Neuss Fromm Düsseldorf.
The town itself has a small shopping centre and the usual sort of bars and takeaways etc. It is surrounded by mainly agricultural land with pretty villages and a few historic buildings
Great place for us to sleep after we went to a party at the nearby schloss Dyck, about 15 min drive by car away. The place seems very new and everything was clean and tidy. Check out at 12.00 instead of 10 or 11 as in most other hotels really enabled us to get a good rest. Communication about some issues with the booking went smooth. If we have an event nearby in the future we will come again.
The room was quite large for the price and in a great cute location. The owner is extremely friendly. My German is mediocre at best and he tried his best to communicate in English which was very helpful. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which had very good food especially for the price. The steaks were cooked to perfection.

Lots of small details which make staying here a pleasure, ironing board with iron in the room, a listing of recommended restaurants in the area, a lounge area to relax, etc.
