We had one-night stay at this hotel during our travels. It was exactly what we needed - a clean, comfortable place to rest up for the next leg of our journey. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices, which was a great way to start the day before long journey. I was only in the charming historical part of the time. There were few cars and a very free feeling as people were on foot and riding bicycles. I could go everywhere I wanted to go on foot. However, I never came across a city map which could have kept me from getting lost. The buses were very quiet. The cuisine was varied and well-prepared. I ate all my meals in the Gao Indian restaurant on Kurze Geismar Strasse because it was the best Indian restaurant I have ever experienced. I didn't visit any sites because I was doing research in the university's archives.

Attractive old houses in the town centre, the market place with the "Goose Girl" statue, you can walk around the city wall, two free botanical gardens are worth a visit. It's compact enough to walk around, or the buses are reliable. Around the town the woods are lovely, lots of paths, full of beautiful wild flowers in spring, green and peaceful in the summer. I saw red squirrels! If you're looking for a friendly church I recommend the Baptisten Gemeinde in Burgerstrasse (Sundays at 10.30 am).

They cheated us for our money! Very bad service! We were late for the check in, because of the traffic. The owner would not wait an hour for us to come and told us to find another hotel. They charges us anyway and will not give us any of our money back. Worst service ever! Worst experince ever! Do not book this hotel

Gottingen is very nice old town with fantastic science background - it produced 44 Nobel laureates. City centre is very nice to walk, to get coffee, some shopping, a lot of art objects and lovely spots to take a photo. For 1-2 day tour is enough. If you are in Gottingen your must-see is St.Jacob's chirch and it's 600m bell tower, where you can get on the top level and observe Gottingen from a bird fly level - fantastic view! Just be careful on the wooden stairs))

I really enjoyed the open market and the vibrant town life. The streets were interesting and the university history was fascinating. I liked the statues of mathematicians that celebrate the towns history of academic excellence.
Cheap, basic and good. Of course, for that cheap price guests should not expect any luxury. Rooms are very small but still bigger than japanese box hotels. Top location near railway station and old city.
In other reviews it was mentioned that there is no privacy. Yes, the 2 showers in male room are open.
If somebody else showers, the person can see you naked. But what's the problem with that ? Its gender seperated.
There is staff around for check-in and check-in was easy and quick.

The staff were super friendly, ringing to make sure everything was ok as we were late arrivals. They were busy with a function yet there were still excellent parking facilities. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well presented and the buffet breakfast superb with an amazing choice of hot and cold food. It was very peaceful, lovely views from the breakfast room. We were only passing through and using it as an overnight stop, but would definitely stay again if in the area
Very nice hotel within easy walking distance to center of town. Good breakfast to start the day - they will prepare omelets or other special orders if desired. Although located on a main highway, soundproof windows kept things inside the room quiet for a good night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On site parking garage was very convenient, though there is a charge for using it. WiFi was strong - in summary, a very nice stay.

Excellent new'ish hotel bit remotely out of Göttingen in some sort of hill area Nikolausberg. Everything was magnificent, price was very affordable for such quality, breakfast was excellent, parking was really nice and staff was helpful and the room was modern and bed and pillow were super comfy. Got a great nights sleep, cannot but recommend! Restaurant Kluckluck (?) also super good for dinner.
This little hotel is located South from Göttingen, on a main road where the speed limit is 70-100 kmh, but the windows are well isolated and German people don't do much chaos at night so you can easily sleep in a relaxing nature-located place. The rooms are amazing. A comfortable bed, a nice pouch, table, anything you could want and should need is there. The staff is very friendly.
Our stay was just perfect. Starting from the clean and well-lighted garage, continuing with super welcoming attitude of the reception personnel and great room. We are traveling with our dog and she was received and recognized perfectly during the entire stay.

Great location and very clean. The sauna area was really good for a hotel sauna (which isn’t a wellness hotel) and the pool hours make it possible to go for a swim in the morning and evening. The breakfast buffet is suitable for a long lunch.
