1. Awesome location. You find yourself only in 10 mins walk from the city center in one direction and in 10 mins walk to a huge recreation zone (Botanic garden, Stadion) in an opposite direction.
2. Nice, clean room with a bath
3. Tasty breakfasts (~22 Euro pp, kids are for free)
4. A possibility to use swimming pool and sauna for 6 Euro for the family
5. A huge parking just behind the hotel, 24 hours cost 6 Euro (underground hotel's parking is far more expensive)
Have coins for the parking automats, cards are not acceptable. You could install an parking app of course, but my austrian phonenumber was cancelled). In general the parking in Dresden costs no more than 6-7-8 Euro per day and it's not difficult to park the car where you want, there are enough parking slots.

If you are looking for a short break on your longer journey...
If you are looking for a short break on your longer journey towards Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Budapest then Dresden comes recommended. Especially if you are a bit of history buff or have a thing for art. We didn't have the time but if we had stayed a day longer then visiting the Albertina Museum would certainly have been on the cards. Highly recommended is the 'free walking tour', something we pretty much always do in every city we visit and we have never had a bad experience with those.

I just love this city centre with its wealth of 18th century history, churches, parks and galleries. If you like art and architecture, culture and the arts, this is the ideal city. Of course, most of it is reconstructed and the detail is amazing. Many of the buildings are about 25 years old if that but look so authentic. There are many great places to eat and drink, great hotels and you can go on a day river cruise to Meissen or Pilnitz on an authentic 19th century steam boat.

We stayed in Dresden for 5 days.
We stayed in Dresden for 5 days. We were there during the Dresdner Frühjahrsmarkt, so we sampled some of the local food and drinks- everything was delicious.
Our hotel was just outside of the old town and it was really easy to reach all major sights on foot. And we did some shopping too with many shops near our hotel.
We took a cruise to Blasewitz with a steam boat on the Elbe- it was a great experience. We also travelled to Görlitz with a train for a day and it was a charming little town near the "border" with Poland.

Walking through the old town of Dresden was amazing.
Walking through the old town of Dresden was amazing. The city center was destroyed in WWII and lay in ruins throughout soviet occupation. Dresden was rebuilt after reunification. It's like walking through the old city of Dresden, but everything is new and clean and nothing is broken or showing signs of any decay. Amazing. Apparently not many American visitors. Few spoke English. Added to the ambiance. Bring your Google translate app.
Lovely architecture; beautiful natural setting; great museums and music venues. Great food. Excellent public tram system as well as scooters to rent. I will avoid hostels and spend more money to stay in a hotel. I enjoyed the Hygiene and City museums. I'll be back for sure!
This is a strange one , I’m pretty sure for most of the week I was the only guest .
It is located next to a road and in easy walking distance to the train station .
It is close to the airport and it is best to jump on the train at the airport and walk 200m rather than get a taxi
I had a nightmare journey due to weather conditions and got to the hotel past midnight and I cannot speak highly enough of the proprietor for keeping reception open for me .
There is a car park behind the building which is handy .
Within a short walking distance from the Old town. Very clean, spacious, pleasant rooms (at least in the Apartment, which is good for family of 3 or 4). Welcoming and attentive staff (everyone who we met - from the receptionists to breakfast ladies to cleaning ladies), speaking good English which was a rarity during our trip in Germany.
Decent brakfast for different tastes.
I definitely recommend this hotel.
And note- car parking on the street is cheaper than in the nearby parking lots.
The hotel is right opposite the main Dresden railway station. There are shops in the station (Lidl) and around the corner (REWE), should you feel peckish. You get a FREE pass to use the local transport system in the city during your stay. Just jump on board the trams! The hotel is very quiet! Even rooms facing the railway station. There is a fridge in the room Very valuable for cold drinks etc. You can easily walk to the city centre, should you prefer to do that.
Very friendly, happy and relaxed hotel staff which was nice to see. Hotel room and rest of the hotel was super clean. AC was quiet, no smell and working great. Comfy beds. More facilities available in the hotel than we used, but it all looked great. Parking is under the hotel, 28 euros per day, but that's hassle-free parking at probably the best location in the city centre. You can easily walk to most highlights.
Stayed here in February for the bobsleigh World Cup in Altenberg.
A really easy 30/40 minutes from the airport: Train to Dresden Mitte, and tram 1, 2, or bus 68 to Postplatz.
Room rates, rooms, and staff are all fantastic. Location also brilliant: Two minutes to old town, public transport, bars, restaurants, convenience store, pharmacy, and...The Hoff!.
Very nice hotel, professional appearance. Rooms are fairly spacious, aircon works fine. There's enough parking space - at a costs, 10 euros per 24 hour. Breakfast is nice, lots of choice and clean area. Location is not close to the old town, but across the hotel is a busstop to get you there. It is conveniently located to visit Dresden center and Bastei.
Hotel is located close to the main attractions and you can walk to the Old Town via a nice park. Rooms are clean and there is a heated floor in the bathroom. Hotel’s personnel is very friendly and helpful. And we really enjoyed the breakfasts. In general the hotel is a good option for a weekend gateway to discover Dresden.
Great host, specially Michael is very helpful. Im living in Germany so i know well about German Hospitality ! And Michael is top on rating. Location is very good, tram station is almost near the apartment door. Restaurant is just next to House Door ! Wishing you all best Peace and Good Luck ! Stay Safe and Healthy !
Location, Location, location.
Also, staff service, room size, and room condition... everything is the best of Dresden.
Every morning, we were walking around the hotel... all of place is the best sightseeing place. We love it. If we are going back to Dresden, we will stay here.
This was my second time stayed in this hotel and check in was very quick and smooth. I liked the room and really enjoyed the breakfast. It was so convenient for shopping, eating, visiting the old town and taking the train. The best place to stay in Dresden.
This lovely hotel is located on the less touristy side of Dresden, which is why I like staying there. There are trams that you can take into the center of town or it’s a pleasant 15 - 20 minute walk.
The hotel has a nice garden area as well as a pool.
It is very affordable, basic hotel. It is clean ans good for short time. But it is very soviet style atmosphere- which is something i did not expect in Germany. The people were nice, but the process of check in check out is manual so not very efficient
The hotel location could not be better for seeing old Dresden. Our room was large, luxurious and in good taste with beautiful wood and materials. The staff was professional, helpful and a delight to deal with. We couldn’t have asked for more.
The location is right in the centre of Dresden. They had a concierge who was able to recommend and book a restaurant for me. Staff were able to sell stamps and post out my postcards for me. The bar in the hotel is very nice and relaxing.
Very nice hotel, good location within 1 km to old town of Dresden, clean rooms, comfortable beds, superb breakfast, polute staff, easily accessible underground parking, would recommend!
