This is a very comfortable hotel as well as being stylishly modern inside. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and most speak good English. This is very much a family enterprise now into its third generation. The owners or one of their sons are usually around. We had two dinners here as well as breakfast and can vouch that the food is delicious with a variety of fish, meat and vegetable dishes and a good choice of local wines. The owner, who is an award winning chef, is very much involved still. The view of the hotel of vineyards stetching down to the Rhine valley is exceptional with lovely walks through the vineyards or the forest behind.

Quiet and peaceful location. Nice tub in the bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really nice with strong English.
Bühl is a small town with a nice central walking area very near the hotel. We did not have a car send managed fine with the train and buses.
I would happily return.

It is good for one night layover on way to other destinations. You can stay one night and when you check out you can visit the nearby tourist places and the move on to your next destination. You shouldn't spend 2 nights in this place. Not much to see and not much to do. You are better off spending more nights in Switzerland/Austria.

Lovely and peaceful, away from the motorway and the lovely...
Lovely and peaceful, away from the motorway and the lovely church opposite turns off its chimes at night so all is great for a good rest. The food at the hotel engel is fantastic with some tasty vegetarian and vegan choices and the staff are very helpful with good English. Multi language menu very useful as this was first ever visit to Germany. I felt very welcome in this lovely small town. Clean. Peaceful. Friendly.

A good location for a trip to the Schwarzwald, or tot France (Strasbourg!!). Baden Baden is 17 km., a pretty town. Bühl has all you need during your stay, but offers nothing special of fancy. But why bother? Go out for a walk, a ride, or visit Strasbourg. Taste the local wine at the Affentaler winery in Bühl.

Buhl is a small town that is a good spot from which to explore this part of The Black Forest It has some great cycling routes for those who enjoy flat cycle route riding through fields of corn and sunflowers.
Easy to reach, modern, very clean hotel, with a friendly atmosphere. What we enjoyed the most was the staff's welcoming attitude: while we were travelling with a small baby and arriving rather late they were thoughtful and flexible in every possible way: they kept our plates warm when we tried to get the baby asleep, they put a baby cot in our room, provided a baby chair spontaneously, heated us some water for the baby bottle, allowed us a late check out etcetera. This is customer friendliness, congratulations!
Great hotel! Absolutely beautiful renovation of a historic building! Rex & Ushi are fabulous hosts, offering to BBQ at the inner court as it was difficult to find a restaurant on a Monday evening. Good times! Good Food! The rooms are very nice, breakfast is excellent. Most of all, we travelled with Classic Cars which we could park safely in the car-port area. When one of them needed some fixing, Rex & Ushi were beyond supportive and flexible.
Perfect location whether you're walking the Rheinsteig, driving, taking the bus, or cycling.
Friendly staff, very large, clean rooms, great on-site bar and restaurant.
There is also an electric car charger nearby.
Really wonderful views.
Right between two ski slopes too, so there appears to be plenty to do in the winter.

Fabulous Breakfast in a very beautiful spot ontop of the hotel. The Host and Hostess were able to allow me to eat breakfast earlier than normal hours on weekends. Lovely, and most delicious. The area is quite nice, very quiet and had great playground, bakery, and a Lidl store nearby. Excellent Hotel/Apartment for travelers with pets/
Apartment well equipped, with all appliances and kitchen wear. Nice furniture. Spacious rooms. Nice place to stay. Host very friendly and helpful. They even give us a free ride to Baden Baden railway during heavy rain.

Very clean, the staff wanted to help even though I got to the hotel very late. Moreover, the breakfast experience was great. They prepared everything half hour earlier just for be because I had to leave early.
