The location is really good. Quite close to the highway for our journey from Berlin to Rostock, yet far enough away that you do not hear any cars. Behind the hotel one finds a quiet forest, yet in front is a lively beach with plenty of options for swimming and other water-sports.
Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the balcony door could open, yet came equipped with a screen door to prevent bugs from entering the room.
While the reception closes at a reasonable hour, one can still pop-down to the restaurant and bar downstairs for a late-evening drink while overlooking the lake. In the morning, it offers a good breakfast served by amazing staff, which one again can take in- or outside and while enjoying the view.

Good location in the old town. There is a vibrant restaurant across the street and a good ice cream cafe around the corner. Very good breakfast and outstanding staff - especially the lady in reception who changed a taxi for us at short notice. Would stay there again.

The spectacular setting, lovely grounds and fascinating history of this hunting castle made it worth our while. It oozes old-worldly charm. The friendliness, professionality, helpfulness and cheeriness of the owner, Ms. Angelika Sloman, who is also the proprietor, richly adds to the experience. She is a rich repository of the region's and the castle's history and current prospects. Her sparkling humour made my day! The price per room was very reasonable and the food - I had pork for dinner and the traditional German breakfast of cereals, yoghurt Brotchen, meats and cheeses - was excellent. Our stay at Jagdscloss Bellin was definitely the highlight of our German trip and we will stay there again in future. If you like country hotels, a rural setting and always wanted to stay in a castle, I highly recommend Jagdschloss Bellin.
