We traveled by car as a group of five adults, and one very large dog. Our main goal was to go hiking and enjoy the evenings with good food and drinks. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We are a loud group. The hotel staff not only made us feel welcome, but it was very obvious that they cared about how comfortable we were. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the pup was provided with an occasional treat and we were thrilled with delicious meals and hospitable atmosphere. Hot coffee waited on the breakfast table for us each morning. Tip toll!
The property is very close to the lake and the owner hung a hammock for us to use. There's access to cafe/restaurants close by within walking distance.
Reaching hiking spots in Treseburg are roughly a 3 km walk but spots in Altenbrak are close.
Almost new self service hotel (i.e. no reception, keys in lock box) with a fantastic view.
Right next to a really nice restaurant with a fantastic terrasse and impressive menu card (ice-cream in particular)
