Breakfast was simple but more than adequate excellent coffee, undercover tables and open air. In the evening restaurant served excellent meals with people arriving by taxi to eat there.
Location of hotel ideally situated for both town and beach, just remember this is a traditional hotel not a vast resort hotel.

Eka was an amazing host, she was always responsive and gave us great tips for our stay that really helped for us to have a great experience in Sal Rei. Also we got a free pickup from the airport! We recommend the room with the terrace for amazing views!

Me and my family had a great stay at Papaya Apartments! It was in a great location and the apartment was well equipped, perfect for my little one! There was lots to do in the area for both kids and adults. Our favourites were the whale watching and cycling around the area. We met some lovely locals and soaked up the relaxed vibe of the area!
Also appreciated the efforts to reduce plastic use in the apartment, great measures in place!

Sal Rei is he Capitaol of Boa Vista Cape Verde. It is a small city on the water. There are many options for hotel and restaurants. It is tropical in temperature so dress accordingly. Expolre all of the food(restaurant) options as there are many. The beach is fantastic

A lovely little town of exceptionally friendly folk. The vibe was relaxed, we all felt safe, even travelling with young kids, and it was nice to get away from our city life. People really welcomed us and we could see that it was a genuine interest towards us which made all the difference. The beach is outstanding, very clean, unspoiled and peaceful and goes on for miles. The food was beautifully seasoned everywhere we went and everyone gave us a smile. Beautiful place.

Sal Rei, although the capital of Boa Vista is small and the people are friendly. It is easily posible to walk around Sal Rei in an hour. Several beach bars in the area where you can just chill. Everything is very relaxed.

Perfect place to relax if you like a beach destination. In the island there are plenty of really nice white sand beaches completely empty. Very calm place. I would not recommend it though if you are looking for a party place, they have a few bars but not many people around. Locals are lovely and food is great. Good for a relaxing holidays but I would not stay more than a week as there is not much to do around.

Sal Rei is small and the locals are very nice and sympathetic. The local language is Portuguese but you always gonna found someone that speaks English. In the center you can found cellphone chip, gas station, supermarket, bakery, simple but good!
For those who wants to Kitesurf, Morabeza beach is the point, the wind is offshore and gusty, but most of the kite schools they have a little boat that can help you to come back to the beach, rescue your board, etc.

Sal Rei is a small, developing town that is really hoping to expand and attract more visitors. The locals were friendly and we felt safe walking everywhere, even at night. There is construction going on everywhere from the town square to housing on the outskirts. It was about a 30 minute walk from one side of town to the other, and taxis were readily available. Roads are cobblestone and/or dirt, so sturdy shoes are a good idea. Cash is recommended, as there are still many restaurants and shops that do no accept cards. It's a good idea to bring Euros with you, as the ATMs do not always have money (Escudos) available. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded, but can be quite windy. The serra at Té Manché was excellent, as was the pizza at Ristorante Pizzeria O Gato & A Raposa.
Beautiful building with well decorated and put together rooms! Anyone wondering about how close it is to the beach, it’s practically beach front taking only about 100 steps from property to water. Very nice and quiet. Equidistant to town where food and bars are and beach bars and water in the other direction. Wonderful place to stay to feel real BoaVista experience instead of large inclusive tourist hotels.
Owners are extremely easy to communicate with and help manage any exploration you want to do on the Island. Top notch!
I had a spacious and airy room. I liked the layout of the hotel, the rooms were outside and had a separate courtyard area/ entry way depending on where your room was situated. Beach was close by on one side and on the other side, banks, restaurants, and the grocery store.
Enjoyed breakfast outside every morning and dinner in the evenings. Calm and serene atmosphere.
The most responsive hosts ever, and an awesome, lovable crew! We had some issues with the facilities that were immediately taken care of.
Away from the city and the noise, but still perfectly walkable to almost everywhere. Small shop and a couple of nice bars near by. The beach is just across the street.
You can hear the ocean from your apartment! 🤯

Amazing location, very nice bungalow, super good host that brought us perfect breakfast at previously agreed time so we could enjoy them from our terrace with the view on the ocean.

The building was clean, quiet, and convenient to the beach, town, restaurants and surf shops. The apartment was spacious and clean. The balcony was a great place to sit when we were ready for a break from the beach. The kitchen was equipped for cooking and was even stocked with some basics when we arrived!
Beautiful, well-located flat, in the center of Sal Rei. You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication with the owner was very smooth, and her flexibility regarding the check-in and check-out time was very appreciated. I highly recommended this flat, and I hope to be back soon. :)
It was one of my best vacations ever. There are wonderful beaches just a few minutes walk away, great restaurants with live music a 10 minutes walk away, supermarkets, bars, club Queen, everything nearby. Breakfast is good and the staff is extremely nice, tours are also available.
The price was unbeatable, for the size of the room/location/cleanliness. The owners speak French, likely Creole and Portuguese. If you speak German it‘s s bit of a language barrier! But very, very nice couple. Sal Rei is very small, and everything is very accessible
After staying at a very busy Rui hotel complex I wanted to get away to a more quite personal stay and this place was perfect 👍🏼

The hotel is very well located, especially of you are into water sports: you cannot get much closer to the beach.
The owners are very kind and keep the place perfectly clean. Breakfast is great whatever you are into (sweet or salty or both).
Proximity to beach and beach cafés. Also to town facilities and shops. We took a quad bike experience which was really unusual over several different terrains. And of course the self catering accommodation

Excellent well located hotel. Brand new and a small roof top pool, more for relaxing then swimming. Rooms were great size, as was the bathroom. Big TV and Netflix was a nice bonus.
Excellent location in the centre of Santa Maria. The local facilities are good with a pool and the beach downstairs. Lots of nearby shops, restaurants and local supermarkets.
