Our experience was a wonderful one. From the walk introducing us to the location to the mosquito netting in each room, the service and facilities truly matched the B&B feel. The food was delicious and the sustainability and care for use was always present. The people were kind and generous with their time, and their pleasantry was almost infectious. Dinner is made in a very small kitchen and the wait is a bit longer than usual, but the food was spectacular and the patio area, with the sea and its sound in the distance, made the wait worthwhile. We would recommend it fully, even thought the surrounding area still needs developing the overall environment is lovely and worth the stay.
Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days.
Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days. Beach, good restaurants, you can do hikes on Monte Graciosa, and Tras os Montes. Restaurant 'chez mama' has some hiking maps. And good food too.
I spent most of my time fishing. From the rocks at Punta Atum, of from a boat.
One thing to keep in mind. Tarrafal in August is hot. You can go up to Serra Malagueta where it is cooler. But rainy in August.

Very cosy little town with nice beach and friendly local people. You can eat very affordable in local bars/restaurants or choose European food in couple of restaurants. The center is quite small, so you walk around easy. Beach is nice and not too much people.

Beautiful hotel amid some wasteland. Staff were all absolutely wonderful and made me feel at home. Restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent, as was the service. Chã wine was delicious with my food. Enjoyed breakfasting on the rooftop bar/terrace. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely stay again.

Small but clean and modern room. Lovely breakfast. Best location of Tarrafal. Tito from the reception was very friendly and helpfull. We loved our stay and would recommend this place for sure
Really excellent little hotel in the mountains, well-located for exploring the nearby national park. Great view from the terrace, and excellent food in the restaurant.
