Great location, minutes from the beach, on a central street. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom as well. The AC was working and cooling off the room pretty quickly in the summer heat. The room is equipped with a water heater and some complimentary coffee/tea (which was a pleasant touch!). Good breakfast and polite and helpful staff (despite arriving in the late evening, around 22-23:00, they prepared us a nice meal for dinner).

A nice and cute family runs the place, we had an entire apartment for us, nice breakfast on the rooftop. About 15 min walk from the beach in a quiet part of the city
Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days.
Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days. Beach, good restaurants, you can do hikes on Monte Graciosa, and Tras os Montes. Restaurant 'chez mama' has some hiking maps. And good food too.
I spent most of my time fishing. From the rocks at Punta Atum, of from a boat.
One thing to keep in mind. Tarrafal in August is hot. You can go up to Serra Malagueta where it is cooler. But rainy in August.

Very cosy little town with nice beach and friendly local...
Very cosy little town with nice beach and friendly local people. You can eat very affordable in local bars/restaurants or choose European food in couple of restaurants. The center is quite small, so you walk around easy. Beach is nice and not too much people.

The hotel staff is super helpful and kind.
The hotel also offers hikes and bike tours which is a lovely bonus. And if you are into diving the hotel is right next to a great diving center.
The location is perfect to enjoy Tarrafal at its best. Very clean rooms, enough storage space and air con. Breakfast is very good and the staff is really nice and welcoming. The view from the rooftop is awesome. Couldn't ask for more!
