I was struck by the smell of wood in the house, it gave it coziness and warmth. Absolute cleanliness. In the kitchen, it’s probably easier to say what wasn’t there, there is absolutely everything you might need to cook, I haven’t seen such a quantity of kitchenware for quite a long time. Aromatic oils in the bedroom, it’s a small thing, but they were there! The house is not big, but it is very comfortable, the air is very clean, for the first time in a long time I really slept.

This is a busy typical CR centre with little to offer in the way of browsing or touristy type things. Really good handmade souvenirs in store opposite city park. The museum is open Tues to Sat. We missed it, so I can't comment on that. The weather was cold, foggy and at times windy (this was mid Jan). That's all I can think of!

It's weird that this zone is not as popular as other famous touristic zones like Monteverde and Dota. The beautiful views of the pacific gulf, and the green of its mountains and trees is as good as those places.

Zip lining and hanging bridges / canopy tour at San Luis is worthwhile doing. We got to feed the hummingbirds which was an amazing experience. The guides are very knowledgeable and safety is taken very seriously. Before you embark on zip lining each team is fully briefed and the views are amazing!
Getting around is easy - the roads and signage are modern. We didn't hire a car on this occasion but found it very easy to get taxis when we needed them. They even have Uber here!
The food generally in Costa Rica is very good- and if you want to eat local then rice and beans are on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner! There are many different dining options for all budgets along with vegetarian, vegan etc.
Event though the room is small, the bed was comfortable , the service was exceptional. We stayed one night on our way to La Fortuna so it served it's purpose. I would definitely stay again at Hotel Amaranto. You feel the vibe of staying at a family or friend's house.
Breakfast was cooked at the moment.
The room I stayed had no windows which I don't mind because I prefer not to wake up to bright light coming from the outside.
Parking is gated and they are very close to downtown and convenient stores.
We really enjoyed the facilities. The cabin is located inside a very well kept coffee farm where you can have a very real Costa Rican experience.
The sunrise and sunset views are great. It is very quiet and peacefull at night. You can see lots of tropical fruit trees and be waken up every morning by the birds chirping.
The complimentary typical breakfast is great and the staff was extremely nice and friendly.
Its a cute little in the middle of a mountain town. We thought it was closer to the center of San Ramon but it is not. Beside that it was clean, cozy and relaxing except the hammock was uncomfortable. Lol.
The host was very nice, polite and replied to questions promptly.
Thank yoy for sharing your house with us.
In a convenient neighborhood in central San Ramon. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Able to park car inside gate. Apartment has 2 bedrooms and adequate bath wirh shower. Owner lives downstairs and was available to let us in and get us oriented. She had good recommendations for dinner nearby.
We loved the stay here. Food tasty. Beautiful swimming pool with amazing view on mountains and ocean. People very very friendly. Our room neighbours returned here and we are ready to return as well. In our 15days trip in Costa Rica, this is the best hotel we stayed so far, highly recommended.
The hotel is located high up in a beautiful cloud forest with lots of wildlife. It's very peaceful, and there were almost no other guests besides us. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly in person. On a rainy afternoon, we had the hotel's little cinema to ourselves.
Everything. This is paradise. Byron was very friendly and took great care of us. We stayed at 10 different places while we were in Costa Rica and this was my favorite. Looking to bring my family there so they can experience it. I highly recommend this place.

The location was amazing, near Palmarés and San Ramon, not far away from San Jose either. The service was excellent, Liz made sure that we were comfortable and she was very attentive to anything we needed.
I highly recommend you stay here!
The staff were wonderful and the owner was super helpful and accommodating. The hotel is perfectly located in San Ramon, close to town center but in quiet neighborhood. I used Uber to get around and it was easy.
