This is a beach club. Expect some poolside activity and loud music. Check their Instagram page before booking so you won’t be one of those disappointed want-to-be-secluded-couples… We were completely aware of this and our family with 3 little ones enjoyed every second of it including moments of romantic and quiet stay. Once the day crowds are gone at 5pm it turns to an even more amazing place. The staff were so accommodating for every need much more than we were expecting. Food is great no dish disappointed. Either poolside or cabañas are always priority for guests over day-pass visitors so don’t worry. Communication for every room service need with WhatsApp was flawless. Ocean is a bit choppy but you can find rockless entrance spots. We will definitely return. Thanks Dani y Jorge

The beach was very nice and clean. Some staff was very kind and helpful. We had a great time but the place needs a manager to take care of some details such as fixing up some of the rooms and separating the great staff from the bad ones.

It was amazing staying here, the Beach is just in front of the Hotel, kind of private beach, nice view and Sunset, Safe and clean beach, the Staff was very helpfull and friendly, we will stay here again 100% if we have the chance to back to Cartagena La Fantastica🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

Tierra Bomba was a short 10-minute boat ride from Cartegena. It was situated on a long private beach with plenty of daybeds to choose from. The rooms were spacious and close to the pool/beach/restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. On our final night, we upgraded to the Private Villa with a Private pool and it was WELL WORTH IT! The private courtyard was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. The room was huge, comfortable and came with an outdoor bathroom.

Also I saw the most terrible image with local guys fihing with dynamite!!!

This island is about a 35 minute boat taxi from Cartagena. We rode back seats on a motorcycle tour through Boca Chica. It was a different world touring a local fishing village. Everyone was friendly. It's a place that may experience growth due to it's location and amenities.

Tierra Bomba is a piece of heaven on earth. Great for relaxing and partying. Staff is hospitable. Luis & Hamilton went above and beyond. Facilities were perfect to my taste. Rooms decent size, very clean and seemed they keep them up with a refresh coat of paint every so often.
Nice hotel on Tierra Bomba. My room was absolutely great: spacious, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, all very clean, surrounded by big trees which gives impression of being far away in the nature. The beach is nice, sandy, rather long, not overcrowded, with a nice view on Cartagena. The staff is efficient. Daniel was very helpful, he called my next hosts and helped me solve some issues. Food was very good (dinner) in a nice open area, breakfast was ok. Transport to and from the island was very well organised.
Everything! An ideal place to rewind! A private oasis, with large and beautiful private beach, quiet and comfortable cabins and apartments, good food and excellent service! Even dogs, cats, ducks and geese living in harmony! A romantic place, with mostly adults, with plenty of space for everyone! We’re already contemplating visiting this wonderful Hotel Fênix again in a few months! Highly recommended, especially for adult couples!
Convenient location but the beach is dirty. The hotel was very disorganized and we wasted a lot of time trying to fix problems with the booking. good takes very long from when you order to when they bring the food so you need to be patient! what we really liked and enjoyed was the activities and experience available to guests. that was excellent and great!! Yoga, fire ceremony very special!

- Bungalows are spacious and comfortable, the outside bathtub is a nice feature
- Personnel is friendly
- Nice views of Boca Grande from the hotel and its beach
- Worth noting that you can enjoy the hotel facilities by booking a day trip from Boca Grande without actually staying at the hotel at night.
- Shower water is hot.
Perfect getaway for young family living up the full on beach club life but appreciating tranquility and the pool to ourselves either side of the day when the revellers return to Cartagena. Amazing music, food and hospitality.
We have fallen in love with this island, the hotel and the staff.

The hotel is close to Cartagena and the transportation being included is a plus. The service was excellent and the decoration was on point. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations every time. Capo made sure our stay was unforgettable, he was very polite and friendly, attentive to any requests. Lovely stay with the family

One of the better places to stay in Tierra Bomba. Nice pool, friendly people and a restaurant. Pool is excluded from really loud music (which is common for all places in Tierra Bomba as it is a party Island during the day for local people)
My girlfriend had a medical emergency to do with her pregnancy and the staff there were so helpful and swift to respond. They arranged a boat to the hopital and for us to stay in their sister hotel. Truely amazing

The pool and hotel and rooms are done out very nicely and are well maintained. It’s a very relaxing space and the staff in the main are very helpful and accommodating.
Being on the closest island to Cartagena was most convenient, but the food was underwhelming and the hotel was like being in an abandoned school ground.
