We wanted a jungle experience and boy did we get it.. The accommodation is in the middle of the jungle. A 4 km drive with a 4x4 up the mountain to get there. Regular cars are not able to get there. Julian, the owner, has built a couple of huts on the ridge of a hill overlooking the jungle. There is no electricity accept for some 12volt lights. Only one USB port to charge a phone from a solar-panel. No internet (which we loved). His "restaurant" is a small and cosy kitchen. He prepares the food you mostly get from the jungle. He is a great cook! If you want, you can use his kitchen to cook for yourself. The shower is outside overlooking the jungle! He gave us a private tour through the jungle and we ended up at a secret lake with a waterfall and clear water where we could swim. In the evening Julian made a fire next to the hut and he played some music together with us. It was amazing!

Good location, easy to reach El Zaino and Calabazo entrances by bus. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great - eggs, fresh fruit and delicious coffee every morning.
