The hotel is spectacular and they gave me an upgrade to the room on the top floor, which has a jacuzzi and everything. However, I went out to work and when I came back, the curtain was on the floor, I told 3 different staff members to please fix it and no one even came up to check what had happened. Thank goodness it wasn't the blackout that did fall, it was the curtain, because if it had been the blackout, I wouldn't have been able to sleep and no one would have done anything.
But otherwise, it was fine.

Cali is a very hospitable city, great people, good restaurants and hotels, interesting geography especially as you travel around the outskirts. But the roads are the WORST. I won't drive there, because of the gazillions of motos that float around your car like mosquitoes. I've driven in Mexico City and Paris and this is worse. And the sidewalks, generally, need to be repaired. We love to walk, but we're getting a little older and having to negotiate around broken concrete on the sidewalks in a hilly environment is just not fun. But definitely worth a visit. We're told that you have to be careful, and we were (there's street crime) but we didn't experience any and the people we met were universally wonderful. Colombians are very courteous people and I really appreciate that aspect of their culture. I need to learn from them.

I've been to Cali twice and my experience has left me planning to explore other areas of Colombia. The people are friendly, food is fresh and tasty and the area is beautiful and CLEAN! I've never seen cleaner roads and public spaces anywhere.

Cali is so amazing and underrated... but I think that's a good thing. Make sure you go to Mulato Cabaret for the experience of a lifetime! The zoo is not bad either. There's tons of outdoor activities to do in mountains and rivers too.

We traveled to watch the Feria de Cali, and we felt very safe, it was absolutely incredible. Taxi drivers very friendly, people in Cali very nice and super helpful. We are coming back this year again. We loved it so much, the gastronomy is incredible, great food, and the cocktails to die for. Salsa bars incredible and everything was great. We watched the Grupo Nice live and free at one of the parks and it was MAGIC. LOVED IT CALI.

Great city with a tropical feel to it. I have been in many countries and I cannot compare it with Indonesia or The Phillipines although the first couple of days I was confused, but as soon as you start to walk on the streets you really feel this is a totally unique area with its own unique vibe. The air is fresh, streets in the main areas are clean and there is quiet some security and police outthere. I have been staying in Miraflores, El Penon and the centre city and Cuidad Jardin.

Cali is a very trendy, urban, real Columbian city that I really enjoyed. The pulse of the city is salsa. Which gives it a bit of a festive and cultural edge in my opinion over other major cities such Cartagena, Bogota, and Medellin. The food was also amazing in Cali I loved the cuisine their more than other Columbian cities I visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting Pance river a natural river in Cali it was very refreshing to go their. The city is a sprawl. Being the second largest city in Columbia it reminds me of American cities such as San Francisco, Atlanta, or Charlotte.
The breakfast was incredible, the staff was prepared everyday with a new delight and it was pretty much ready when we needed to. The room was with enough space and always clean. The staff provided enough water and always supported us in what we were needing. The staff is so kind and the attention was great!. If I ever go back to Cali, I would stay again in Leclerc without any hesitation. One of the best hotels I have been to. The location is also perfect, near many restaurants and big hotels. It was the perfect place for us.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. Our room was really spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could ask for including a smart tv, fridge and coffee machine. The shower was the best I’ve had in Colombia! The staff were super attentive, especially Fernando, thank you for being a great host. The area felt really safe and there are great bars and restaurants all around and even three on the ground floor of the hotel. We would highly recommend staying at Hotel El Peñón and hopefully we can visit again.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the room had AC. The hotel was clean and had a nice traditional feel to it. On booking.com it gives it 2 stars but personally I would say it should be 3. It’s no means luxury but for the price (that also had breakfast included!) it was amazing value for money. Perfect location with bars, clubs and restaurants seconds away. Would recommend if you want somewhere in the tourist section of Cali.

An older colonial style hotel that nonetheless offers a pretty comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. WiFi signal was strong. Breakfast had nice options. Safe area and walking distance to the nicest sights in Cali. Great location. Hiked the Tres Cruces trail as the trailhead was very close to the hotel.
Probably the best place to make friends in Colombia. Always stuff going on with tours, dancing, a constant whatsapp group where people get together for nights out and even more dancing, just a great place to hang out. Everyone is a bit sad to leave because its just such a good atmosphere. Thanks guys, a superb stay! X
The Now Hotel is amazing loved the natural décor spread out the hotel. It has this very natural chic vibe I liked about it. Nice jazz/house/techno music playing throughout the day and night in their courtyard area. I cant wait when their finish renovating their rooftop pool/bar area.
Carlos is the most helpful of hosts. A great place, a very comfortable apartment, with everything one needs for short as well as long term stays.
It is noteworthy that the apartment is about a 20 minute taxi ride from Cali's touristic spots, but it is really not a problem.
Great location next to Cali river.. safe area great for morning walks. quick ride to a large variety of great restaurants with live music within walking distance. . Rooms were large, modern and comfortable with a great view of the city. Great value. I will return.
