The hotel is spectacular and they gave me an upgrade to the room on the top floor, which has a jacuzzi and everything. However, I went out to work and when I came back, the curtain was on the floor, I told 3 different staff members to please fix it and no one even came up to check what had happened. Thank goodness it wasn't the blackout that did fall, it was the curtain, because if it had been the blackout, I wouldn't have been able to sleep and no one would have done anything.
But otherwise, it was fine.

Cali is a very hospitable city, great people, good restaurants and hotels, interesting geography especially as you travel around the outskirts. But the roads are the WORST. I won't drive there, because of the gazillions of motos that float around your car like mosquitoes. I've driven in Mexico City and Paris and this is worse. And the sidewalks, generally, need to be repaired. We love to walk, but we're getting a little older and having to negotiate around broken concrete on the sidewalks in a hilly environment is just not fun. But definitely worth a visit. We're told that you have to be careful, and we were (there's street crime) but we didn't experience any and the people we met were universally wonderful. Colombians are very courteous people and I really appreciate that aspect of their culture. I need to learn from them.

I've been to Cali twice and my experience has left me planning to explore other areas of Colombia. The people are friendly, food is fresh and tasty and the area is beautiful and CLEAN! I've never seen cleaner roads and public spaces anywhere.

Cali is so amazing and underrated... but I think that's a good thing. Make sure you go to Mulato Cabaret for the experience of a lifetime! The zoo is not bad either. There's tons of outdoor activities to do in mountains and rivers too.

We traveled to watch the Feria de Cali, and we felt very safe, it was absolutely incredible. Taxi drivers very friendly, people in Cali very nice and super helpful. We are coming back this year again. We loved it so much, the gastronomy is incredible, great food, and the cocktails to die for. Salsa bars incredible and everything was great. We watched the Grupo Nice live and free at one of the parks and it was MAGIC. LOVED IT CALI.

Great city with a tropical feel to it. I have been in many countries and I cannot compare it with Indonesia or The Phillipines although the first couple of days I was confused, but as soon as you start to walk on the streets you really feel this is a totally unique area with its own unique vibe. The air is fresh, streets in the main areas are clean and there is quiet some security and police outthere. I have been staying in Miraflores, El Penon and the centre city and Cuidad Jardin.

Cali is a very trendy, urban, real Columbian city that I really enjoyed. The pulse of the city is salsa. Which gives it a bit of a festive and cultural edge in my opinion over other major cities such Cartagena, Bogota, and Medellin. The food was also amazing in Cali I loved the cuisine their more than other Columbian cities I visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting Pance river a natural river in Cali it was very refreshing to go their. The city is a sprawl. Being the second largest city in Columbia it reminds me of American cities such as San Francisco, Atlanta, or Charlotte.
Excellent service in the excellent property. Casa Esmeralda has a unique architecture, new , clean and the friendlies service I hav eever met. The owner of the Hotel Sebastian speaks perfectly English and it a great asset for most not speaking Spanish visitors. he and his mother provide extremely hospitality so you have the feeling that you are visiting a close family relatives.The staff of the hotel is very accurate and friendly, I strongly suggest if you are visiting cali and you have to be in the south part of the city to visit the hotel.
Our stay at Magic Garden House was the best accommodation experience we had so far in Colombia. The location is perfect to explore San Antonio and surrounding neighborhoods and the view from the terrace over the city is really nice. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. Being there feels like joining a big travel family as making contact to the other visitors is very easy, because everyone sits on the same table for the very delicious breakfast. Rooms are spacious and have everything needed, as well as the kitchen.
The location is amazing and the facilities outside of the room were amazing. The breakfast bar was good, however hot food options for vegetarians were a bit limited in my view. Staff were super friendly and for anyone with security concerns this hotel is really really stringent on security protocols. Often there is police at the front, with security guards too and the concierge staff are very vigilent. I can imagine important people stay here often. The Gym is amazing, especially for anyone that loves calisthenics.
Hidden gem, perfect place to stay in the midst of the bustling Cali city. When you stay in this hotel, you feel more at home as if in some seaside resort than a hotel in the city. Great restaurant/bar and a barman who knows how to make a good cocktail. staff super friendly here and feel like them want you to get the most out of your stay. stayed in boutique hotels all over the world but this simple hotel knows what it’s customers desire.

Salsa lessons on site, Something happening every day and a friendly, fun and engaging staff. During my stay, there was a beer pong tournament which led to a party bus where i met so many people i kept in touvh with throughout my trip. Amazing place!
Elena is a wonderful host who treats her guests like family. She invited me to share a New Year's dinner with her family. Her place is safe, super clean and very comfortable. She is attentive and helpful. This hostel is a no-brainer for any foreigner visiting Cali. The location is wonderful, right beside an artist community and close to stores and restaurants.
The hotel is in an old former mansion. It's a close walk to San Antonio (Most beautiful neighborhood in Cali in my opinion). I loved the breakfasts, the warm atmosphere, the attention from staff etc. I will plan on staying here whenever I come back to Cali. Great value, Great place within a new favorite City of mine.
