Beautiful architecture, with great service and amazing food. Hotel provided a free transport to and from the Mutianyu Great Wall. Highly recommended to walk along the Great Wall and to sit the toboggan down. For those who enjoy hiking they should try hiking up from Bei Gou village where the Brickyard Retreat is located to the beginning of the Jiankou part of the Great Wall.

The concierge and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and eager to serve. They created a very warm and comfortable environment for our stay.
Food:
We were amazed by the breakfast every day, which served both western and Chinese staples. All the ingredients were fresh and the cooking was excellent. Special mention to the wedges, hash browns and sweet potato fries that were nicely crisp on the outside whilst being moist on the inside. They served freshly cooked traditional dumplings and Rou Jia Mo as well as fresh handmade Chinese paos, and they were all excellent. These are just some examples.
Room:
We stayed in the Stone Forest villa and the rooms were comfortable. Heating worked well and there was also a fireplace. Especially loved the architecture.
Located at the foot of the Cashikou Great Wall, CMYK Stoneyards by the Great Wall was converted from a historic building along with a modern achitecture.

My stay at CMYK Stoneyards was absolutely wonderful, from start to finish. The house is beautiful, the surrounding nature is stunning, and the food is the freshest and most delicious I have eaten in China. This place is a little paradise, the owner has done an incredible job at designing the spaces and the staff is super friendly. Big thank you to Marina for her warm welcome and support during my stay. The accommodation had a beautiful interior, enormous space, a great roof top with Great Wall Views and sweet little coffee shop with great coffee. The owners were incredibly warming and welcoming. Helping out in every aspect like booking tickets, organising transports, offering lifts, gifting souvenirs. The homemade food was amazing! And the portions so generous! The location was also great, only a 5 minute walk away from the cable car. Which makes it possible to go up in the afternoon when most day tourist busses have left.
We had such a great time and if I find myself back in China I will definitely come back!

We loved our stay at Yue Tong Farm House. The couple was so kind and helpful and made our layover in Beijing worthwhile. They picked us up at the airport, made us a delicious dinner, the room was big and clean (mattress is a bit hard though), cooked us another delicious breakfast in the morning and took us to the great wall afterwards. In the end picked us up again and drove us to the airport. Everything went flawless. Although neither speak English, the translator does the job and the smiles do the rest.

Flower Yard is close to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The breakfast was amazing. Owner Angel prepared a lot food for us for breakfast, fried eggs, different kinds of fruits, fried pumpkin, toast, butter, jam, fried dumping and fresh ground coffee.
The room was so good, bed was so comfortable.
There is a terrace on the second floor with views of the mountains in the distance. The air was so fresh.
