This is a lovely place, we stayed in the older part behind the big house but it was clean and very comfortable. There was a kitchen available in which we prepared our lunch, everything was organized and easy to use. The breakfast was good and food plentiful, I asked them to scramble some eggs (they had hard-boiled on the buffet) and they were happy to do so. At night, 30 ibises came to roost on the hotel roof, it was so much fun to watch them. The hotel is down a short dirt road, it is very quiet. The staff is great.

It was a good, economical base for us to do Torres del Paine. We had 3 nights here and did day trips in our hire car to the east side and then west side, so we pretty much covered most of the Torres del Paine area without doing the big hikes. There is not a lot to see and do at Cerro Castilla itself but there is a large coffee shop/tourist stop that has lots of interesting items for sale. All the tourist buses coming in and out of Argentina seem to stop here. We think it is owned by the same people that own the Hotel Estancia El Ovejero.
