The two story apartment equipped with a kitchenette is wonderful for us. We can fix a simple meal with it. The two story unit separated the bedroom with the living room so it works almost like two rooms. The breakfast is wonderful.

Very spacious and clean room. The bathroom was gigantic (maybe even too much), and the jacuzzi was a really addition. A convertible sofa, a desk, and a small balcony. Also private parking available (extra 4 CHF per day). City center reachable in 10-15 minutes with public transport.
Not to forget, very friendly staff, and great breakfast buffet (Thank you for all the gluten-free elements ... so rare) !

Thun and surrounding is a place of fantastic nature. Lakes, mountains, beautiful views and some nice cafes and restaurant. There is so many things to see, you have to stop by every village to experience local beauty. Also its quite close to such a place as Oeshinensee, absolutely stunning lake and great hiking there.

Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm.
Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm. From river canals to castles and gardens, you can spend hours roaming up and down the town's historic streets and paths. Plus, you can find many adventures from the town into the surrounding mountains. Less busy, more romantic, and much more history than Interlaken.

Thun was so perfect for our family.
Thun was so perfect for our family. We prefer to stay outside of big cities, that way we can venture into the city, but then retreat to our quiet town in the evening. Thun was so wonderful that we didn't even attempt to leave, apart from visiting Interlaken, which was just a 30 minute train ride away. Thun was made for walking! There is so much to see just walking through the town along the canal. Definitely be sure to walk the river, and visit the castle. Instead of taking the elevator back down from the castle, walk down. Trust me, it's adorable.
I personally didn't care much for any of the bakeries in town. I think we were spoiled in France, so the breads in Thun seemed too sweet to me, and lacked the lightness of French breads.

This was the best stay of our vacation! This hotel is a MUST to stay at. I am a retired hotelier and it was so nice. The restaurant was outstanding! The rooms are clean and the bathroom was well equipped with a nice shower. It was so nice to be near the castle: we had a room that looked into the castle courtyard. After a day in the city of Thun, it was a lovely escape to the top. The views from the top is unbelievable!! Yannick is a delightful Director of the a hotel and restaurant. All of the staff is amazing and warm and kind!
Wonderful location with a perfect view to the alps and main mountains of the "Berner Oberland". The large family room (with two separated rooms) are very clean and comfortable. No details are missing for a perfect stay (welcome drinks for the whole family, enough sockets, bath products, chocolate and free cold water in the minibar). The little walking path, lounge at the hotel and having breakfast at the lake was wonderful. Next time we will take our bathing suits to go for a swim in the lake.
Stayed there for one night at duluxe room with lake view. the room position was brilliant, highest floor at castle corner — which enables the room have two balconies, facing the lake/mountain and side views separately. Room/Bathroom was super spacious, comfortable bed. A 24h lounge with espresso/tea bag. Another delightful surprise is guest can use the next door 4-star hotel (congress hotel)’s spa & sauna for free — and there sauna was the best since my Finland experience these many years
Best hotel we’ve stayed in in Europe. The service, food and hotel generally were all first class - and we could even take our dog who was loved by all and sat quietly whilst we thoroughly enjoyed dinner. We chose half-board which is what we recommend. A free bus pass was the icing on the cake as I normally drive and have the parking issue to deal with. Magnificent spot by the lake - and you would never regret a trip here. 11 out of 10!
We enjoyed staying at the property that had beautiful views of the mountains and the lake from the balcony and breakfast nook. It was so nice to have a complete kitchen to prepare a few meals. The Raclette pans, free parking, and washing machine were great added features. The location is ideal, just up the hill from 3 supermarkets, 7 mins away from Thun and less than 1 hr drive to Interlaken.

A very comfortable hotel with great views of Lake Thun and the adjacent mountains. We paid extra for 2 rooms with a view - well worth it; a lovely balcony allowed access to cool breezes and views of the sunset. The breakfast was very good. We chose this hotel because of its quiet location and proximity to public transportation; the bus and lake boat station are only a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
Hotel Alpha Thun exceeded my expectations, the bus stop to thun train station is just outside the hotel. The lake is just a few steps away.The staff made you feel like family. Its centrally located and thun is such a magical place. The rooms are clean and fresh.

Beautiful studio is in an exceptionally beautiful location in the banks of lake Thun. The studio itself was pristine and spotless.
Jennifer is an excellent host. The communication was brilliant and most of the time proactive. She made sure we could check in earlier and went above and beyond in trying to sort out the Panorama card.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The three rooms my group and I had were large. We could have stayed much longer than we did. You can't beat the location! Thun is beautiful and at this location, you are in easy walking distance to everything you'd want to see. A boat ride to the château is highly recommended too.
The street the hotel was located at was very clean and quiet. The drive to Lake Thun was short. Breakfast was nice, the shower was amazing! The room was spacious. Free bottles of water, coffee, tea, hot cocoa and some snacks in the lobby! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The location is amazing. The fact that we had the panorama pass for free bus rides was perfect for the location. Being able to start the day with hot breakfast and a glass of Prosecco was wonderful. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay at a great hotel.
