This location is out of this world, it is so gorgeous! You can hear the river flowing and see the mountains and you are just steps away from incredible hiking trails. There is also a really good restaurant that is very friendly and delicious right next door.
Offering simply furnished rooms and panoramic views of the Bernese Alps, the family-run Hotel Stechelberg is 6 km from Lauterbrunnen and 1 km from the Schilthorn cable car. Free WiFi is available.

Top Location, very quiet, close to hiking trails and I could see waterfall directly from my window.
Stuff was also friendly.
Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Location was unbeatable. The balcony view was stunning. The staff were exceptional. Super friendly, interested in their guests and gave fabulous advice on things to see and do. The Hotel had a really nice homely vibe.

Love the views from this property. Wengen was the perfect place to stay. Next time we would book a room with a balcony as it seemed a shame we couldn’t see the views from our room. Great buffet breakfast.
The family-run Hotel Alpina right in the heart of the car-free resort of Mürren offers you a unique location and spectacular views over the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

Fabulous hotel! The staff are just the best. Nothing was too much trouble! Breakfasts were good. Loved the free tea & coffee supplies in the lounge & the biscuits & sweets were an added bonus. We had dinner there on the 1st night & it was delicious & good value. The view over the mtn was spectacular (when the clouds cleared)
The Hotel Jungfrau is situated next to the ski school with its own exercise area for children and offers direct access to slopes around the car-free village of Mürren.

Location, hospitality of the staff, amazing mountain view from the room.
Located at the foot of the ski slopes, Historic Hotel Falken was one of the first hotels in the Jungfrau region. It offers a music room, a terrace and guided walks.

The hotel was so amazing, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful. Perfect and very, very cute place to stay and in an ideal location.
Location is perfect.
Beautiful Valley.
Stechelberg Restaurant food was above my expectations.
Staff is very helpful and thoughtful.
I will certainly return in the future and will recommend it to friends.
Very fond thoughts of Stechelberg.
Family room with a balcony accessible from the hall was an excellent and unexpected benefit - overseeing the mountains and the waterfalls over the green trees - amazing with a glass of wine. All was excellent, staff friendly, breakfast, location, parking, etc. Lauterbrunnen can get crowded, at the end of the valley (here) is much better and a great place to start a hike further up pr easy walk down the valley. For families with kids - it's calm and peaceful.
Just perfect! It's an older building and looks like it, but very well kept, comfy and cozy. It's by no means a luxury hotel (shared bathrooms down the hall) but there's a serene and homey feeling about the place that puts you at ease. Large shared kitchen downstairs where you can make your coffee and meals. Gorgeous setting, surrounded by waterfalls and easy access to hiking trails. Staff incredibly friendly and kind. Appreciated the free parking.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Stunning scenery. The house very simple and that was just perfect for us. Lauterbrunnen was very bustling with tourists but out by Stechelberg where the Alpenhof mountain house is situated there is just mountains, and quiet, only sound the nearby waterfall .. simply idyllic. The hostess Diane is very friendly and helped us a lot, everything is very informal and easy going
This place is for people who don't like to see other people :-). The chalet is located at the end of the road in Stechelberg, so you don't have much traffic. The hotel restaurant is about 50m from the chalet. The chalet itself has a terrace with unbeatable panoramic view of the mountains including Breithorn. This is an ideal place for relaxation or hiking or both. Highly recommended!
We had the most amazing time and that is because our stay at the Alpenhof was perfect! The house was beyond clean, Diane was warm/friendly/very informative and the location was perfect! Our only mistake was not bringing enough of our own food to cook in the incredible kitchen. We will definitely be back and would recommend the Alpenhof as a perfect vacation spot. Thank you Diane!
It was my fourth time at this place. I enjoyed every momemnt with my friends. We did a hike from Stechelberg “Winteregg loop” and had a Fondue for a dinner at The Alpenhof Mountain House (there is equipment for that). You just need to buy cheese. Diane is such a warm and friendly person. We felt like in a family. She took very good care of us. Until next time!
Great hotel, great host and great scenery. This is our second times staying this hotel, first time is early summer, scenery beautiful and greenery. This time come during winter time, all cover by snow, whittess and beautiful too. Happy to meet Ms Diane, host who is knowledgeable with travel information and hospitality. Hope to see you again. Thanks
The beautiful location and the calmness of it. I will go back in a heartbeat hands down.
Mrs. Diane and Mr. Mark the owner is such a beautiful soul her warmest heart embraced you, making your stay smooth. Her will to helped the clients oversees any hostess responsibilities. Overall this Hostel, The Alpenhof Mountain House is one to visit.
Beautiful hotel in an old l renovated building close to the mountains. Very clean and comfortable, with big kitchen and comfy living room. The owners are super kind and friendly. Mountain trails start just near the house. Definitely recommend!
Don't forget 1 Fr coins for the shower! :)
Location is close to the bus stop. It has almost everything you need to self cater. It was comfortable and warm. It had a great selection of TV channels. Including most of the UK mainstream channels.its lovely and quiet even though its is on the road to Stechelberg.
Lovely Traditional Swiss Hotel, B&B
Staff Were simply amazing considering I didn’t speak a word of German and very limited French.
Stunning Fresh food at a reasonable price + breakfast included was a bonus.
Extremely Clean - even shared facilities
The hotel is perhaps the closest one to Schilthorn when parking is needed. Simple rooms but with multiple trails next door. A decent restaurant next door with outside seating. Lift to Schilthorn about 10 min by foot.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is basic but clean, comfortable and acceptable. What can you ask more for a simple mountain hotel as the base for your mountain activity?
The hotel and restaurant staff do not welcome other cultures, there is no lighting in the corridors of the house at night after 10 pm, the residents of the area do not welcome Muslims.
Great view, over all comfortable room and clean. Having a restaurant in hotel was great. Jennifer is the most smiley and kind young lady that I met in all of Switzerland
We loved the fact that the chalet is nestled right in the back of Lauterbrunnen Valley and close to various recreation activities and other small towns.
