Great communication from my host Mima. Nice, clean little apartment in a typical Swiss house in a large peaceful village surrounded by attractive countryside. Good train service from Sonceboz-Sombeval railway station which is a mile away. Co-op supermarket in the village.
Located in the city centre next to the small Suze canal and the pedestrianised shopping zone, the Mercure Biel hotel is easily reachable on foot from the main station.

The hotel is nicely decorated. Welcoming staff. We booked a studio which was well-presented. Car park was full when we arrived but there were several parking possibilities nearby, which was convenient. Loved the breakfast spread!

It was a disaster. The hotel told us that there is no booking in our name. They didn’t have any rooms available. Because we travelled with our horses we couldn’t look for an other stay overnight. Finally they put us up in a dormitory with no showers and the toilets one story down.
I guess I will never book again via booking.com
