Restaurant was very nice, but very expensive, like the rest of Switzerland.
Located opposite the train station of Schaffhausen, Best Western plus Hotel Bahnhof is only 200 metres away from the historic quarter and the Rhine River. It offers free WiFi throughout the property.
Dating from 1654, this traditional hotel in the historic centre of Schaffhausen is just a 5-minute walk away from the train station. Hotel2B features the restaurant US-Mex and has a bar.

All of the above The ambience created by furniture and decor of this 1900 building. The outside garden area has a special relaxed appeal All of the staff could not be more efficient and friendly especially Anita at reception and the gentle soul of Max the owner.
Great town: beautiful old city. Great region. Top attractions are the Rheine Falls, Stein am Rhein, but a not long train trip takes you to the german city of Konstanz. You can get boat trips on Lake Konstanz.

Very nice hotel with just 8 rooms, so well maintained.
Very nice hotel with just 8 rooms, so well maintained. Staff were exceptional and everything about the room was great. Location is perfect for walking the old town and along the river. Super close to the rail/bus station with easy access to northern Switzerland and into Germany. Several grocery stores (Co-op's) within a few minutes walk. Nice restaurants and shopping. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fun and the food was great, too. Would stay her again.

Even without visiting some of the attractions (IWC Museum, Museum Allerheiligen), Schaffhausen is worth the stay. The sceneries from the Munot and of the Rheinfall are magnificent. The old town is worth a walk with a lot of possibilities for shopping (even if you do only "window shopping").

Schaffhausen is a charming and beautiful historic town located on the banks of the river Rhine. Wonderful for relaxing and wandering the cobbled streets or along the river taking in the nearby Rheinfall waterfall at Neuhausen.

The boat trips to the Rhine Falls were spectacular.
The boat trips to the Rhine Falls were spectacular. For the kids Smilestones is Switzerland in miniature and is housed in an air conditioned building next to the falls. Nearby Stein am Rhein's colourful and historic old town is brilliant but so expensive!

Was only in town for one night!
Was only in town for one night! Sadly it rained day of arrival and day of departure!! Did not know about the music festival. Accommodation was heavily booked. I missed the waterfall, received poor directions and also did not see any signs. Nice town overall. Would return!
The location is excellent whether walking or travelling by train or bus.
Access to all the facilities in Schaffhausen was perfect.
The staff are excellent. Always had happy faces. Always courteous, and really nice to talk to, even in English.
The buffet breakfast had enough range to keep most people happy. I am going to miss the sesame seed coated croissants - absolute favourite! :-)
The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable as well.
Park Villa is an excellent hotel in a park, but very close to the centre of Schaffhausen and near the railway station. It also is very quiet. The first room they gave me didn't have a Rhine view, but when I asked for a room with more view, I could see the River Rhine from this second room. There is a railway track close to that room, but I could hardly hear it. Breakfast is not buffet style, but nevertheless very good.
Location couldn’t have been better right across from Schaffhausen Station. The facilities were fantastic, and the breakfast in the morning was some of the best I have had at a hotel.
The staff were extremely helpful and patient with all of our inquiries being completely foreign to the area and country. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was definitely one of the best we had on our trip. The room was pretty incredible…huge main room with a huge bathroom and a little breakfast nook. and made you feel like you were in a castle. I had looked at other castle-hotels but this was the only one that was "castley" inside as well as outside.
everything was very good. Breakfast was much better than an average swiss breakfast, they have even made omlette without any extra cost. It is in a perfect location, only few metres to the centre. Staff was very helpful. Room was small but very clean. Beds were comfortable. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay in this hotel.
As we stayed in Sorell Hotel Rüden several times in the same week , I have already put my review before . But I would like to mention once again that it’s a lovely place to stay in Schaffhausen!!! Everything is very good and buffet breakfast is extraordinary !!! Amazing service in the breakfast lounge as well .
The room was absolutely stunning and different from standard corporate hotel rooms. One side faces the main street and the back door opens towards the church. The best part is that you get 6 bucks off your meal (per person) at the US-MEX restaurant in addition to a free plate of chips and dips (per person).
This hotel was a real joy. It was well appointed and spotlessly clean throughout. The quality far exceeded my expectations.
The staff were very helpful, both at reception and in the dining room.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the local railway station so is ideal for anyone on a rail holiday.
The whole staff and especially the manager are top notch. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are huge for it's location, and the price is extremely reasonable. I definitely recommend this hotel and I'm looking forward to be a guest there soon again!
Apartment is spacious. Very clean. All furniture are on good condition. Located in quite area and within short distance from bus stop.
Very recommended and surely will comeback again next time visit Schaffhausen
Best option for travelers who got stuck in Switzerland due to Deutschebahn cancelling their train, as they are prone to do. Cheap, comfy, quiet, and close both to the city centre and the railway station.
Great location, very clean hotel with helpful staff. Room and bathroom were both large with plenty of space for luggage and travel kit. Included breakfast was very good.
