I always stay in hostels when I travel and this one is so far one of my favorites, particularly because it felt like I was staying in a proper Swiss home. I stayed in a shared dorm-type room, and it had this beautiful wooden interiors mixed with some modern touches. You can choose your bed in the room and each sort of had a different layout. The best part was the view as it was directly facing the old town and you can even see a portion of the Matterhorn. The bathrooms were clean and functional. The reception has a lunch break and they also go at night, so you have to be particular with the time if you want to check in with some assistance. But generally, the staff were really nice. They have a cave / ski room where you can leave your luggage in case you came early or if you need to check out early as well. Not to mention it's literally next to the train station and the Gornergrat train station if you're going up to Matterhorn. I would definitely stay in this hostel again.
Offering free on-site parking, Matterhorn Inn is located right across from Täsch Train Station and the Matterhorn Terminal, which provides a 24-hour shuttle service to Zermatt.

We chose Hotel Alphubel because it is in the city center and close to the train station.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have a balcony with views of the snow-capped mountains.
The staff was very attentive and concerned about our comfort and well-being and always available to help. Hot water kettle for making tea or coffee available if requested.
The Hotel Mountime is located next to the Täsch train station, what together with the hotel's non-stop shuttle service, provides for easy access to Zermatt. It offers free Wi-Fi.

Amazing view from balcony towards Matterhorn. The room was clean and there was blackout blinds for the windows. Free parking in garage under the hotel and 4 minute walk from the hotel to the train station taking you to Zermatt.
Hotel Taescherhof is located in Täsch, 5 km from Zermatt. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Certain units include a seating area to relax in after a busy day.

We only stayed to sleep but the room was incredibly nice
A small, quiet alpine village. It is an deal base for visiting the Charles Kuonen bridge, currently the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. A circular hiking route begins near the church. It's is also convenient for visiting car-free Zermatt with its beautiful views of the Matterhorn. It is much cheaper to stay here than in Zermatt and trains run frequently from the village.

Great base to make the hike to the suspension bridge. Town is very quiet so not good for those looking for shopping and other activities but a very nice place for a quiet stay. Short, twice-hourly train to Zermatt, that is fairly expensive.

A cozy village, cheaper than the near the resort of Zermatt.
A cozy village, cheaper than the near the resort of Zermatt. Much more genuine than the flashy resort of Zermatt, the village is lacking in supermarkets, restaurants and bars, but offers a calm, quiet atmosphere while still being 10 minutes away from the buzz of the big resort.
The hike to visit the longest suspension bridge in the world is great - don't miss it.
We stayed in Chalet Moos for three nights. Overall, we had an extremely comfortable stay. The apartment is located at a 5 mins walk from Randa station and it is quite easy to find the apartment. On arrival, our apartment was clean and tidy and the heaters were set at an optimal temperature. The hosts (Family Brantschen) are super friendly. The property is fully furnished and one can find everything in the apartment that is required for a comfortable stay.
Ben and Marie were very kind and helpful hosts-any questions we had were answered and they were very open and communicative. The spot was cozy and charming. Randa was a quiet place away from our lively time in Zermatt. The stay was greatly appreciated and the room was clean and nice. Would 100% recommend to stay here and have Ben and Marie as hosts again! Greatly appreciate it!
Hosts are excellent. They provided all the information by email. The location is great, near Randa train station, 20 minutes by train to Zermatt. The kitchen is old (vintage looking), well-equipped with everything that is needed for cooking. Super quiet. Beautiful view. I think this place is great value for money for people who like to stay away from busier Zermatt.
The location was amazing! Beautiful little town of Randa, not too far away from the train station and the hike to the longest suspension bridge in the world! The host was kind enough to let us store our luggage the next day so that we could do the hike. Our room had the view of the snow-capped mountains and the size was perfect for 4 people. It was also very clean.
The hotel was overbooked and we did not have a room. The owner was very nice, arranged for a stay in a nearby hotel which was more upscale and drove us there in his car. He was very apologetic and made up for the mistake. His hotel is centrally located on the train line and so was the hotel we stayed at.
Marco was extremely helpful with checking us in. And gave very good information and maps for things to do around the area and in Zermatt also. We had a good home cooked dinner and a good selection at breakfast. There is also a little shop at the hotel to buy snacks and food.
The hotel is right by the train station which was excellent and the staff was amazing. We had a beautiful apt upstairs. Super big and beautiful. An incredible balcony with the most beautiful view. The food was delicious. I highly recommend it.
This house was perfect for our family stay in Randa. It is easily accessible and within walking distance from the Randa train station.

The property was exceptionally clean. It seems to be a new renovation so everything is in excellent condition. It is an easy train ride away from Zermatt and is reasonably priced for Switzerland and the distance away from Zermatt.

The location is great, it's essentially a step away from the Randa train station. Great place if you want to stay close to Zermatt. We are welcomed by good coffee, in the afternoon and in the morning.
