Excellent little hotel right on the cross-country ski tracks (Sonnenloipe). Perfect location for a week in Goms or just a couple of days. Friendlky staff and really excellent breakfast. We stayed here in 2022 and now again in 2023...and this is still one of those really great unique hotels...top of the Grimsel Pass in central Switzerland...the weather determines everything...one moment thick cloud and then a stunning view..thats the Alps for you. We had a great terrace overlooking the lake ...the room is huge...the bed as comfy as comfy land...lots of hanging space and spotlessly clean....

Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass).
Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit).
I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great!
Breakfast was very nice as well.
One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

Amazing view, delicious dinner and the hosts were kind enough to give us an upgrade for our honeymoon stay. The room is comfortable, bed is just right and overall up to standard as a 4-star hotel. The only pity is that we weren’t comfortable to join in the sauna because we were required to remove our clothes. Perhaps there can be a private steam room option next time?
A great option for stopover after a long drive and we hope to return for a longer stay next time. Thank you for the great experience!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is beautiful. Additionally, the restaurant has great food and the breakfast is very good. No complaints at all.
