Take the cable cart to the top of the hill - St.
Take the cable cart to the top of the hill - St. Salvatore and if you have good weather - there awaits you and this is not an exaggeration by any means - one of the most amazing views I have ever seen in my life.
Also we took a boat ride along the lake, which without any discount is about 40CHF for 2 hours ride, which is also very nice. There is a half tax discount if you have it for Switzerland. Miniature museum is nice as well.
Lugano over all I think will stay in my heart :)

2 nights would have been sufficient for us.
2 nights would have been sufficient for us. We took a day trip to Bellinzona and visited most of the popular attractions and had time to spare.
We are not shoppers or people who like to hang out next to a pool and relax. If you are that type of person, the lake is beautiful and the shopping
options are abundant.

We were pleasantly surprised at the Italian influence... it felt like we were in Italy as that was the predominant language, food, and people. The city was clean and safe. The people were proper and polite. We would highly recommend this place!

Lugano is an exceptional peaceful small city where you can enjoy the best views of the lake. Much better place to be compared to Como the busy crowded city.
We totally loved this city and all the things that offers from good food and pleasant historic buildings as well as friendly people.

Lugano is beautiful!
Lugano is beautiful! Walking by the lake, sitting by it in chairs provided for free to the public, taking a boat ride, riding the funicular up to the mountain to see the views, all great! City bus transportation excellent.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, from breakfast staff to house keeping, especially the gentleman at reception who gave us recommendations about visiting Morcote.
Location was great, arrived by train to Paradiso which is a 5 min walk to the hotel. Its also a short walk to the lake, where we were at one end and could walk lakeside to Lugano to the other side. Also conveniently located next to the funicular to the top of the mountain for 360 panoramic views.

Breakfast was amazing. Dining room was excellent. Above all the service was 5 star….from the lovely lady at the front desk, to the restaurant staff to the breakfast attendant was beyond reproach. The staff here are very happy and eager to please. It is not a high end hotel but it’s beyond high end in service and attitude. We stayed 2x and would stay again if we return to Lugano. Xxxxx
The view is the selling point of this hotel! It is a very relaxing experience to sit on the balcony and see the city underneath lighting up for the night life.
The room is in good size and the balcony is in a comfortable size too.
The bus right in front of the hotel that leads to the center of Lugano and the scenery on the route is quite enjoyable.

Our stay at this hotel was PERFECT. It was our first time visiting Switzerland (Lugano). It was a special occasion as it was my birthday. Our room was on the 4th floor, we had a balcony with front lake view and it was so worth it. The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The location was great. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely want to come back again.
Our room is having the full lake view and at mid-level. Just 2 minute walk to the train station with a very nice and quiet park adjacent. Our room is so large with a long balcony overseeing the Lugano Lake. There are also large garden and swimming pool inside the hotel. The small grape yard at the back is a wonderful surprise.
It was our first time in Switzerland and we loved it! The apartment was very cozy and well-equipped. We were able to cook some meals in the kitchen and even do our laundry. What a treat! The city view from the apartment was gorgeous. Lugano is a beautiful city and we hope to come back soon.
The hotel is situated only two minutes from Lugano Station. Although it is quite sober it is also very clean and neat, with the necessary soap, shampoo and towel. The bed is of good quality. I liked the balcony for sitting out on a balmy night. Staff was helpful and polite.
Accommodations, location and staff were the best I experienced in Switzerland. They actually give you real towels (not scraps like other hotels), the bed is amazing, staff is very kind and the breakfast was amazing. Location is impossible to be better.

The hotel is exactly the name :) it's just across the central bus stop. Staffs are super friendly, and makes your stay feel homely. The room is super small though. But overall had a great time in Lugano. Would defo stay at this hotel again!
The hotel is 15min walking distance from Lugano easy and very to find among bunch of hotels in the area. Private parking available at hotel Novotel next to Ibis. The breakfast was valued for the money and the lady there was very polite.
