The staff were great and worked with us in French, although they can speak English, rather than leaping into English at the first sign of us stumbling, which was fun.

Excellent accommodation if you are hiking with great bar and spa facilities!
Felt amazing to arrive at the Auberge as it is such an iconic stop on our Via Francigina. Everything was lovely, room, breakfast etc. However we had the most amazing meal in Hotel Italia just minutes walk across the border. The quality of the food and service made our stay extra special and at a fraction of the cost if eating on the Swiss side.
