Known for its international diplomacy, Geneva is the gateway city to the Swiss Alps and contains many international organisations that lend the lake-side city a cosmopolitan flair. It is filled with the best in cuisine, diverse languages and people, and top 5-star hotels.
It's easy to fly in to Geneva Airport, and like the rest of Switzerland, the public transport system is incredibly efficient. And the antique shops and steep, cobbled streets of the Old Town can be explored by foot or bicycle.
Many of the sights are monumental buildings such as the St Pierre Cathedral, but you can escape the chilly winters inside museums and galleries displaying everything from the Renaissance to the Contemporary.
Even if getting out into the wilderness of the Swiss Alps isn’t an option, there’s plenty of nature accessible within the city limits. Parc des Bastions offers tree-lined walks and a game of giant chess and Parc de la Grange is a green space situated on the Lake Geneva promenade. Jet d'Eau, a 140-metre high fountain in the centre of Lake Geneva is beautifully lit at night.
With over 90 hotels available, Booking.com ensures that whether you are travelling for business or pleasure you can experience the best accommodations Geneva has to offer.
A clean and pleasant town. Geneva is not far from Annecy or any towns in France. I love walking in the old town. We had lunch at the Brasserie du Molard and we loved it. They have a variety of food to choose. There is a great chinese restaurant Pekin Palace just near the Warwick hotel. The price is reasonable. If you are staying in the hotel, you can ask the staff for transport card Geneva to go on public transportation. I find it very convenient to go around town.

We needed to stay in Geneva as we had a flight departing from Geneva on Sunday morning but next time, we might just stay in Lausanne or a more beautiful city and take an early train to the Geneva airport. No need to stay in Geneva - not much to see there and it's not as pretty as the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen area where we spent most of our time.

The boat tour around the lake is a great way to start to get to know the city for our 24 hour stay. On Saturday morning, as our time was limited we took advantage of an uber to get us to the area of the Red Cross Museum (which we did not visit ) and the United Nations which was not open for tours, but still great to see. We then took another uber back to the center of the city to enjoy lunch and a little bit more sightseeing before we had to leave that afternoon.

Really beautiful city and nice to walk around the old town.
Really beautiful city and nice to walk around the old town. Lots of things to see and do around the lake i.e. Ferris wheel, swimming spots etc.
Found Geneva much more expensive than other cities visited on the same trip so would factor that in to any plans to go there again.

One night is generally enough.
One night is generally enough. Our main interest was the CERN laboratory, which is easily reachable by tram, with travel passes included in the hotel room price. We also had time for a leisurely boat tour of the lake and a visit to the archaelogical site, though we didn't visit the museums, which are also siad to be very good.

It is a quite small city that you can walk almost everywhere historical or popular. public transportation is easy to use and you can go almost everywhere with it. there are nice restaurants and galleries to visit and some museums. if you want to get away for a long weekend and spend quite time Geneva is an alternative. Don't forget to visit close towns by the lake both in Geneva and France, they are very enjoyable and view worth travelling for one or two hours.
Definitely bother to climb the stairs of the cathedral, the view is mesmerizing.
there was some issues with the pricing in CHF versus $ the add on booking was in dollars which is what I was paid then the owner asked me for 50 CHF due to transection differences which I don't believe i'm responsible for so the pricing need to be more clear for travelers and in one currency.I also think 500 CHF just for cleaning is quite expensive even by Switzerland parameters.
otherwise the place is nice, good location super close to the airport and Geneva city center and we had a good time.
The hotel is located in a great neighborhood, bus stops are ~5 minute walk, the Geneva Bus Station is 3 minutes walk, and the train station is 10 minute walk.
It is also 2 minute walk from the lake with a lot of restaurants surrounding it.
The staff were amazing and very helpful, always ready to answer any questions, I didn't face a single hassle while staying there.
And on top of that, on my birthday, they left me a beautiful present in the room!
Everything was excellent. The staff were very helpful and smiling. The location was excellent, opposite the Geneva Fountain. The rooms and room service were wonderful. There is free water in the rooms and they also provide free sweets we came early at 10 o’clock on morning and they let us enter early without cost any money Thanks all staff thanks for. Sara in reception. This second time for me. In hotel. It’s the. Best

We went to Switzerland to watch our daughter compete in the World Championship and after we had a couple days to enjoy ourselves. We booked an Airbnb that was awful and quickly jumped on Booking.com and found this place. It was amazing. A large ray of light after abandoning the Airbnb. Clean, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. And location was wonderful. I highly recommend it
Lovely welcome from receptionist, told us all about how to get into town. We were fortunate to recieve a free public transport pass from Geneva Tourism, which made the perfect location as hotel is opposite a really nice shopping mall with eateries, and just opposite is the bus stop straight to the city centre... typical Ibis good value ! oh and parking under the hotel.
Great location, close to the city centre and in a vibrant neighbourhood! There are plenty of nice and cozy restaurants nearby and the hotel's restaurant offers delicious food as well. Breakfast is good, the rooms are cleaner than most hotels in Switzerland and the staff is really friendly. The tram station right in front of the entrance door is really convenient.
The location is very central although not in the best area of Geneva but that makes it good place to be. There is more character. Close to train station and lake. The hotel is very nicely done and the rooms well appointed. The pool and jacuzzi are what makes this hotel and sets it apart from the others in the area.
Perfect for a one night stay. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly. The hotel is accessible very easilly with the free shuttle bus from the Geneva airport. I arrived late at night so I appreciated that the shuttle runs non stop.
This hotel is near the train station, near Lake Geneva, and the historic town. The shower was very powerful. The facilities are in great condition, and it is very clean. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Swiss milk is the best. I would stay here again next time I am in Geneva.
October 4th was my first time in Switzerland, and I really enjoyed my stay in Meininger. The room was as pictured ,and the staff were so friendly, especially Marieva. My kids were superexcited. We look forward to lodging again in the future. Thank you very much!
This is the best location if you are traveling to Geneva, Switzerland. The place is opposite the Cornavin train/bus stations and near the iconic Jet d'Eau and Flower Clock. In addition, supermarkets, dining areas, and souvenir shops are just a few meters away.
The hotel has brand new rooms, great lobby area, nice staff. The location is just 8mins away from Geneva city centre by train and the station is only a few steps away.
To me this was like a 5 start hotel rather than 4 and I highly recomend this to others.
Breakfast was so great! We loved it. Its facility was nice and the staff was very kind and friendly. We enjoy the time there. Hotel staff was very nice. We will be back there just before leaving Switzerland and hope to have another good experience.
Delightful Hotel in prime location near Lac Leman and old Geneva. Staff on reception the best and most friendly we’ve ever met. Generous sized room with excellent lighting. Numerous bars, cafes and shops immediately adjacent.
The hotel.was perfect and suitable for a short break. Breakfast is OK and the location is excellent for going out to eat and for the train station to explore more of Geneva or Switzerland 🇨🇭
The hotel is at the city centre at a walking distance from the bus station, Geneva Lake and high street. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. It was overall a very good experience.
Beautiful modern hotel in heart of Geneva. Helpful staff and bar/breakfast restaurant on site. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance and near several tram lines.
Fabulous hotel close to the train station, wonderful and friendly staff. Beautifully decorated with the best hotel shower! This will be my go-to hotel in Geneva from now on.
