Very unique location with lovely view over the lake! Comfortable bed with sink in the room and large-ish room for how much you pay. Shared bathroom, there was only one so it was busy. But room was in great condition, clean and tidy and comfortable bed. Cute walk through very old village to get there, very nice. Public parking (through apps was easy like EasyPArk) was expensive but as expected for Switzerland!

We had a reservation for a room at Le Bucce di Gandria but due to a technical error with the booking system there was an overbooking and the staff of this place kindly solved it by arranging another room (with amazing lake view!) for us at Antico Ristorante, right next to the river. So my rating is about the room in Antico: Peaceful room, Beautiful view, Friendly staff.

I have stayed here before and the biggest advantage of this hotel is the location next to the funicular to the railway station. But it is also perfectly located in the center of Lugano's old town.
They have rooms with 3 beds which was perfect for this stay.

Gandria is a pictoresque, romantic little village with beautiful lake views and a laid-back atmosphere. It is easily reached from Lugano by bus or boat. There is a good choice of restaurants and the Bottega di Gandria is a great place for an outside drink. There is not much in the way of sightseeing in the village itself but it makes a great base for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

I liked the simplicity of the entire place,they cater for foreigners by providing travel and tourism magazines and also the free Lugano travel pass helps. One can also go up to the restraunt for dinner and Mellissa is wonderful and very helpfull and she will help you get to places that you want to visit.I will definately stay here again!My favorite place was the view from the top of Mont Brè..Its a good hike to the top and i loved every bit of it!And ofcourse the Bellinzona castles!Unforgettable

A beautiful little village right by the lake shore. Very quiet, but handy for Lugano, with several boats per day. The views are simply spectacular. There's a couple of good restaurants and a nice café right down by the lake.

Quiet. Beautiful. Can walk to Lugano (1 hour ) along ' olive route' which follows lakeside and is easy, level and very panoramic.
Very steep narrow pedestrian paths in Gandria which are pretty but there is also a road that takes you dowm to centre if you need to drop off luggage.
Beautiful location in the quiet town. Pretty easy to get to Lugano via bus, ferry or walking along the Olive trail. Kitchen was well equipped and there were 3 nice restaurants in town to choose. Weather was very warm for May and owner purchased nice Dyson fans for us to make the space more comfortable which was greatly appreciated. Space is minimally decorated and furnished but has what you need to be comfortable and the views are just amazing. Good place if you're looking for something quieter and more low key. Check in was very easy.
simply wonderful place with a stunning view! People in the hotel were extremely friendly, Ricardo, Ilaria and a young man with longer hair, whose name we don't know, but which as well was very friendly. There were many people at the wonderful restaurant and the rooms were fully booked, yet they all found friendly charming word. Really to recommend. The food was delicious, the terrace delightful. The bathroom though shared was clean and with no problem to be used.
This place is magical, located at the top of Gandria. All the rooms have a lake view, and is perfect for enjoying the slow life at the village. Our room was tiny but comfortable, and the hosts made our trip unforgettable thanks to their hospitality. We would definitely suggest booking a dinner at the restaurant to taste local specialities and wine. It was a truly beautiful, heartwarming experience, and we would definitely love to come back.
I immediately felt at home. It was easy to get installed. Luana was very professional and at the same time it felt like I've known her for longer due to her kind open personality and availability. This goes for Anna too. The house and the location are perfect for experiencing the Gandria specialty of calm and silence. Just perfect.
The place is one of best value stay we had with a great location, beautiful view and very clean. As it states on their site, there is no staff available for services but check-in is efficient, and a plenty of snacks in the small common area. We stayed only one night as a transit from Switzerland to Italy.
A very simple room with a brilliant view located within a quaint section on the outskirts of Lugano. Quiet and peaceful. Pack light as you will need to walk to the hotel via cobble stone stairs. Shared bathroom (as expected) but all very clean and the other guests were very respectful in the shared spaces.
The host is very kind and thoughful. The facilities in the kitchen and in the rooms were great. The view is the best of part your booking. You'll get this amazing lake view when you wake up. Also, you're on top of Gandria village and get a nice view of the village from the balcony.

The location is amazing at the beautiful village of Gandria. The view from the rooms is stunning, the host is really nice and the rooms clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Very nice for couples. Excellent value for money, would totally go again.
The room has a small balcony and the views to the lake and mountains are stupendous.
There is a shared fridge with free milk and yoghurts and also a shared coffee machine with limited capsules. Filtered water can be refilled in the hotel's restaurant.
Eventhough we had rain, the view was amazing. The room was spacious and the workers were very nice. The food was awesome, we have really enjoyed ourselves.
Gandria is very small and we enjoyed it a lot. It is also a great location for a dog.
Wonderful place with an incredible view. There is a small balcony to sit, drink, eat and enjoy the view of the lake. A small hike along the lake brings you to the city of Lugano. Gandeia and the hotel are just marvelous places.
