We stayed here for 7 night. 40 mins away from interlaken city center via Spiez. Wondafull location has access to all major attractions. Specially if you are planing to leave zermatt after enjoying jungfraujoch area, frutigen is the best area to stay. Specially need to mention the staff, they was amazing. Very friendly and supportive.

The entire place is so magical ✨️ 😍 💖. The hotel staff, the hotel, the spa and massage, the nature park, everything was absolutely gorgeous. Also, visiting the little villages around Blausée is a must and take the cable carts up to the mountain from Kandersteg village

old fashioned hotel just 2 blocks from train station. good breakfast, good beer. comfortable room. shower worked!!! staff were willing to try and interpret my Engl-Deutsch-3 years of Hoch Deutsch in college nearly 60 years ago was not enough. We were very late after a tedious bus ride to a hotel miles from Oey. Anna Kurtz was kind enough to wait until we arrived via a taxi.
Hotel Waldrand is located in Pochtenalp, just a 5-minute drive from Lake Tschingelsee. The rooms impress with their traditional ambiance and mountain views.

The beds were super comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. We especially enjoyed the fresh honeycomb right out of the frame! The shared shower and bathroom facilities were very clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and worked with us to communicate well despite our limited knowledge of Swiss German.

Great location and great service. We mentioned that we would need to leave very early in the morning and were given a bag of fruits for breakfast, and allowed to make our own tea in the kitchen.
Venue is very secluded. This is meant for hikers and campers and not for families travelling place to place. The eating area is infested with flies that makes it very unhygienic.
The room has no air-conditioning and the window has no grills and makes it unsafe to be left open with children. This caused us to sleep in a window shut room making it extremely hot in the summer with only a fan to provide ventilation.
They have no hot water kettles to boil water for children

We traveled as 3 generations and there was something for all of us. We had so much fun and never even used our car. We loved the village and the hiking path along the river. The restaurant was very good. We also enjoyed the restaurant next door in the botanical garden and fish farm. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend this place to all families.
Really nice and clean rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful terrace and view, lots to do around the hotel. Free usage of swimmingoool which is a bit older but clean and very spacy, not too many people. Food was quite common, but taste was good and enough choice, especially loved the salad buffet, hot stone steak and baked bacon at breakfast.

The hotel is warm, quiet and cozy. Frutigen is a small town, there are barely no tourists and is close to lot of the highlight places of the region.
Loved the stay there, we also went to the restaurant and was a really nice experience.
They have two Tesla destination chargers, although the Tesla website only lists one as of today.
It was easy to collect the Key. They provided us coffee machine with a coffee. The supermarket was very near. Regarding view, basically all around Switzerland is nice. I liked the driving experience over the mountain to Interlaken.
We loved the room with the hard wood floor, very minimalistic, clean and comfortable. the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. the activities for kids are great, in general this is a very kid/family friendly hotel.
