the toilet is gorgeous, the nostalgia vibes bring me back to old times. I like the way the owner greet me even though we have language barrier, and both of them are such a wonderful person! owner is super helpful to the customer too, eg: providing guidance and information of local good visit places, that is what i like about this place ! Moreover, the breakfast is so good, we had a very full and yummy breakfast before departing to domodossola ! ☺️

Breakfast was good continental.
Chap on reception was excellent, really friendly, changed our tv straightaway, with a smile and a nice attitude when we couldn't get it to work.
He also asked how our day had been, excellent customer skills.
We ate in the hotel restaurant, again excellent service, food was nice, but for a British person expensive. That's not the fault of the hotel, it's how Switzerland is.

View was amazing
It was very comfortable and quiet
Beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped
Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

Great wee town.
Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.
Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich...
Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

Honestly, there isn't much to do here.
Honestly, there isn't much to do here. I stayed here because it's where the Glacier Express ended. I would not recommend it at a destination but if you need a place to spend the night in this area, it is fine.
What a lovely little guesthouse for people wanting to explore Switzerland but not pay the crazy high Swiss prices. The accommodation itself is very simple, almost more like a hostel, but a very quiet one where families and older adults can go to sleep early. The rooms all share a few bathrooms, but we had no issues with this and the bathrooms were always very clean. Our room had a lovely patio and the patio out back at the restaurant (which was delicious) has a great view as well. We would happily stay here again.
I like this hotel very much cause they have a facilities of coffee maker, water cooker, hair dryer, etc. in the room. Good breakfast in the morning. Nice personals and the owner of hotel is also kind & care. Location is very nice, just beside the castle (see my picture took from balcony) and in quite place also near the train station. I Wil be back there/advising my friends to stay in Schlosshotel if they're visiting Zwitserland.
Breakfast was excellent - home-made muesli, home-made preserves and home-made bread as well as a selection of cheeses and cooked meats... The room was great - twice the size of most hotel rooms, with a view over the nearby castle towers and of the mountains (of course)! The location was great - only three minutes' walk from a choice of restaurants and five minutes from the main shopping and eating area of Brig.
The hotel, though not spacious, pays great attention to detail, and the service staff were exceedingly warm and hospitable. The breakfast was generous and varied. Our room was sizable and impeccably clean, in fact, it was the cleanest we've encountered during our trip. Although the hotel is relatively close to the station, it proved to be slightly farther than convenient for us traveling with young children.
Nice central location less than 10 minutes from the train station and right around the corner from the central plaza. Not luxurious but clean and quite comfortable. Check in was extremely well-organized. Cleaning every day around 9, super efficient. Hotel seems to cater to tour groups but they were never in the way. Breakfast was good with a decent range of options, in the Swiss style.
Location was only a couple blocks from the train station and Bahnhofstrasse where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The staff is professional and available for questions. The hotel has a restaurant serving typical Swiss cuisine and has a daily menu in addition to the regular menu. By Swiss standards it was reasonably priced and excellent.
Everything was excellent. We appreciated our vacation by deciding to stay at the hotel for another 2 nights. The hotel allowed us to stay in the same room at no extra charge. The hotel is right in the middle of town. Clean, small, cozy. There is a restaurant, we had dinner, we liked everything we chose.
This was a great location for reaching multiple areas in the mountains. Brig is also a great city to quietly relax after a day of sight seeing. You truly feel you are immersed in the culture. Patrick and his wife were very gracious hosts.
Location is VERY close to the train station - short walk to check in! The lady behind the reception is friendly and helpful. Brig is not very big, and I found the location of the hotel a good central point to explore the area.
Central and amazing position in the middle of Brig.
The hotel stuff very friendly funny nice and willing to.help with everything.
Our room.was very nice spacious clean and with a jacuzzi.
Breakfast was delicious and very rich

Excellent location… room had everything bar air con though they did provide a fan for the room. I loved the quaint breakfast ambiance. For Switzerland this hotel offers great value.
Room with a balcony overlooking the old castle. There is no better location in Brig.
Breakfast was excellent and the room very clean and tidy.
Self-check in is well organised
The hotel is a very nice hotel. We are used to come to this hotel as it’s the close to the city Center and train station.
The staffs is very friendly and answer any question.
