Location is very convenient. Literally in front of the funicular that takes you to the station. The hotel is a partner of Ticino which allows you to use public transportation (mainly buses as boats are only offered a discount). Breakfast quality was above average since the quality of every item was very good although there are limited options.
Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated.

Great location, friendly staff, and excellent value for money, especially given the typically high Swiss hotel rates. Sure, the building's a bit outdated, but let's be honest—we weren't expecting the Four Seasons! :) The breakfast was quite decent considering the room price, with nice coffee and incredibly kind staff. Overall, a simple, basic, and clean stay that exceeded our expectations for a 3-star hotel.
The Colorado Hotel offers a central location in Lugano, a 5-minute walk away from the promenade on Lake Lugano and around the corner from the LAC Cultural Centre.

In the hotel just few people speak English. I called several times before I arrived and they were dropping the phone, not answering also in Whatsapp. Very strange attitude.
The welcoming was nice though, Leyla was friendly and had good English.

When I reported this to reception, the guy on duty laughed. I asked for another room due to traffic noise all night. They had no other room so received a refund for second.night. There was also a fridge which didn't cool drinks at all and a tiny balcony overlooking the supermarket next door. There are other hotels in other towns along the lake ....
Friendly and uncomplicated Employees, eg. We could get the Tessin card (Oubkic tranport card) before the official Check in time.
Hotel is just far enough away from a trainstation, that there is no noise from the trains, but near enough that it is very convinient to go explore Tessin with public transport.
Hotel is very clean
Good hotel for its price, bed was very soft. I think it would be not fit for poeple with some kind of back deseases. Parking spot is not free, i paid 15 chf.
Convenient location near Agno train station, with restaurants and groceries nearby. Staff was friendly, and everything is brand new. Wifi is really good too.
