The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. And the breakfast was amazing. The omelet meal was wonderful and such a full meal we needed no lunch.

Yarmouth is an authentic Nova Scotian coastal fishing town.
Yarmouth is an authentic Nova Scotian coastal fishing town. Our visit there was like going back in time 40 years with access to beautiful views, a ferry to Bar Harbour, Maine and lots of friendly and helpful people. The town has a charming Main Street with colourful painted buildings, charming artistic street seating which illuminates at night and a lovely park across from the Grand Hotel. Yarmouth also has a self guided walk of the homes hearten back to the times when Yarmouth was a world seaport during the age of sail. There are also two museums a historical and the Firefighter’s museum. Their are many local restaurants and pubs that serve fresh fish. There are beautiful areas to explore within a short drive such as the Cape Forchu lighthouse, Bunkers Island( incredible views but not a groomed trail), Chebogue and further afield is the gorgeous Mavillette Beach. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets over the harbour!

Ate at: Joann's Quick and Tasty = Fantastic seafood dinner with small/large option @ reasonable price; The Dinner Plate = lunch - great Club Sandwich and Fries @ reasonable price; Rudders = early dinner -FABULOUS pan-fried scallops with choice of fries, side salad, or veggies @ reasonable price.
It's VERY EASY to get around Yarmouth. The Cape Forchu Lighthouse is a "must see!!" There are several museums to visit. There is a FANTASTIC craft shop, "Hands-On-Crafts" where one can buy gifts to take home. It also has a SUPER selection of brand name and locally spun yarns, bead supplies, essential oils for making soap/scented candles, hand-crafted wood products, AND MORE.
Don't avoid anything. It's all GREAT!! :<}

My son and I needed a place for one night to cut down on...
My son and I needed a place for one night to cut down on driving during a hockey weekend. We chose the "Voyager Motel" because of its quiet and convenient location, and also because the website advertised "breakfast included''. Breakfast is only offered during the peak season however. The lady at check in offered to hunt down some muffins for us, but we passed.
Yarmouth has a few decent restaurants now, we got our coffee from "Sip Cafe" on Main St. They have decent coffee and are a good spot for breakfast/lunch. We had dinner at "Gaia Global Kitchen" which offers a lot of vegetarian and gluten-free options, but also makes a mean burger and has a good cocktail menu. Good atmosphere.
We Live in SW Nova Scotia, so we go to Yarmouth quite a bit and we're happy to see that the town seems to be bouncing back again after some tough breaks, go check it out :)

I loved Yarmouth, the people were very friendly and helpful, to me it was like a real traditional rural community, as opposed to those put on for tourists.
It was my first visit and I was so happy that I took the time to go, I hope to go back and stay a little longer next time.
